"The hotel is beautiful! On the river with the gurgle sound of the river to fall asleep to. Ana, who checked us in, was the most wonderful person you could ever imagine. So welcoming and kind. She also made the food for the breakfast banquet that is offered ! Trust me, you don’t want to miss that!"

"What a host, what a view, and what food !!! Miguel - the host, made us feel very well looked after. Provided wealth of information about the local area, local traditions, food and wines. According to Miguel, Rioja region makes the best wine in the world !!! I'm no connoisseur to dispute that (perhaps after I open one of the Marqués de Riscal Reserva 2012 bought from Rioja). The lovable dog 'Bernie' was so friendly, my son who is normally scared of dogs went on walks together. The hotel is right...

"Hemos pasado 10 días maravillosos en esta cabaña con nuestro perro, cuidada hasta el último detalle y en un lugar privilegiado. Es cierto que los techos bajos dan algún problemilla, pero lo compensa todo lo demás. Es acogedora, bonita y rodeada de naturaleza. invita a disfrutar de la calma. Es un oasis de paz. Gracias por compartirla"

"Amoureux de la nature, des grands espaces, de la tranquillité : ce gîte est fait pour vous ! Nous avons passé une semaine incroyable dans ce cadre exceptionnel ! "Nice quiet place with lovely scenery and very comfortable rooms and large beds. The pool was a decent size, but the hot tub was not warm when we visited. Helpful staff as there are limiited dining options, so be prepared to drive somewhere to eat. Not easy to spot the entrance to the hotel. It is accessible via the double wooden door and an intercom as seen from google street view of the address. Would recommend for couples. "

Lovely rural retreat

"It was a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the bed was very comfortable. Evening meals were standard but we both had cheese omelette and chips, which were delicious. Our two small dogs enjoyed the room as well. One small downside is that the GPS took us down some country lanes, some unmade, whereas there was a much more direct route. Not the fault of the owners though."

Two nights in a palace

"We stayed in this hotel 10 years ago and it was incredible. We were concerned it had changed hands. At first we were disappointed. We were charged 10 euros per night to park our car!! The check in process was confusing as the only way we could contact the staff was by whatsapp. We warmed to the hotel - the breakfasts were excellent and the dinner very good"

Great hotel, fantastic location

"Great hotel in a fantastic location with wonderful views of the valley and griffon vultures circling above the cliffs opposite. No restaurant meals on Wednesday as the chef has a day off but the bar menu was a fine alternative. It's a bit tricky to reach the hotel as the village's roads a very narrow and steep but it's not a problem with a little care."

Perfect

"Extremely comfortable place very well equipped - it's clear that much love has been invested in the renovation and furnishing of the cabaña- the photos don't do it justice. In an unspoilt location in the Valles Pasiegos. Perfect to watch nature and the weather passing by. Great spot to to explore the northern part of Burgos Province as well as the Valles Pasiegos. Peace, tranquility, nature, vultures, buzzards, short-toed snake eagles. Perfect. We loved it."
