Gorgeous views and delicious breakfast

The hotel grounds are gorgeous. Mountain views with beautiful plants and roaming llamas and peacocks. Breakfast was delicious and the playground fun for kids. The only down side are the beds were very uncomfortable in our room. If you like an extra firm mattress this is the place for you

There were many activities available for our family. Swimming pools, volleyball, tennis, billiards, games, etc. There were llamas roaming around the property which was really cool. It was quiet and the food in the restaurant was very good.

A gem. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are clean, and the breakfast was great with fresh fruits, breads cheeses, and several hot items. It is a 15 minute drive from the airport but the hotel provides a shuttle every hour. It was just lovely.

Pleasant, comfortable and good food

We were stuck in Quito for three days due to protests, and we spent those days at Dan Jose de Puembo. It's a very comfortable and pleasant place to spend a few days. The accommodations were excellent, the gardens were absolutely beautiful, the jacuzzi was great, the service was great and the food was outstanding.

Definitely a place to stay.

Lovely well appointed hotel. 15 minutes from the airport with beautiful gardens and pools and jacuzzis. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The food was excellent. The rooms were large and clean and comfortable beds with pillow options. Alpacas roam freely in the beautiful gardens. An oasis. They made us picnic breakfasts to take away on our tours. So peaceful there. Great security too.

Had an xmas party all afternoon and evening. No restaurant service(no dinner for me or any other regular guest's).The special people at the party seemed to have plenty of food and drink)) Was very loud could hear clearly in my room on an empty empty stomach. Also did not pick me up at airport as agreed. I do not recommend this hotel. Stay away at any cost!!!$$$

Very poor management at the reception

Hotel was comfortable and staff friendly, though they did not speak or understand English, including some at the reception. We had asked "EDDY" at the reception to have a pick up from the airport on our return trip from Galapagos, which he rote on a piece of paper and confirmed verbally, BUT guess what....NO ONE CAME FOR A courtesy PICK UP. We had to hitch a ride with another couple staying at the same Hotel. Very Very disappointed in their management at the reception

I like the staff and the large, beautiful grounds, and the llamas and peacocks running around. And the architecture of the buildings is beautiful. The dining room food was excellent! I was in a casita so had much privacy. The room was clean and housekeeper flexible. I liked that an airport shuttle is provided at no charge when arriving (a man holds a sign with your name on it) and departing - that helps to reduce stress. I was very disappointed that the pool and spa was not available. I booked there because I wanted those amenities. I had a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom so enjoyed that. But it took 20 minutes to fill enough with water to initiate the jets. And controlling water temperature throughout Ecuador was problematic. Overall, I would book again if I knew for certain that the pool and spa is working and available.
