Great Stay

The room was a little small but absolutely fine. The bathroom was small also. The chair that had to sit in was a sling chair. Not great for everyone. The hotel overall was great, very nice and right on the water/marina. Definitely would stay there again if in Racine.

Room was clean and beds comfortable, that was best part. Dim lighting throughout, no communication of late breakfast start on Saturdays, late to open and food not ready when it did open. Pastries and bagels stale. Had a private party in “restaurant” the night before that is not really a restaurant. No room service available from the non-restaurant (despite a banner showing a delicious looking pizza by the entrance of “restaurant”) Ended up eating at supper club next door which was fine but pretty fancy and pricey for a meal with a 13 year old. Overall was ok, kid enjoyed the pool, and the view is nice. Not up to snuff with other Doubletrees I’ve stayed at.

The setting of the breakfast room (overlooking the marina) is lovely early in the morning. There is an extra fee and it is a standard buffet, but service was prompt and the atmosphere was pleasant and convenient. Hotel was much cleaner than the last time I stayed there and is undergoing some remodeling. I love that there are only three floors and that staircases are pleasant and readily available. Also nice to be able to step outside and walk along Lake Michigan, or up to Racine’s Main Street where there are a few restaurants, etc.

The place was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and welcoming. The hot tub could be a bit larger, but wasn't an issue as we were done by the time more people entered. Coffee is great, and the location is good. Plenty of stuff to see or do just walking..

Although going through remodeling, the property was in good condition. The lake views are mesmerizing. The tv system was cumbersome. Sent a message to staff but no one contacted us. There were no guides to help. Overall though, it was a very nice stay.
