"I was extremely pleased with my stay at the Microtel in Ames. It was much cleaner, nicer, and quieter than any of the similarly priced hotels where I've stayed in the area. I was especially pleased with the service I received when I checked in. The heating system in my room was not functioning, which I understand can happen. After making a quick check to see if he could fix it, the desk clerk immediately and happily assigned me another, nearby room. He brought me a new key card, waited while I unloaded my bags from the bell cart, and took the cart back to the lobby for me. Kudos!"

"Room was clean, staff was very friendly. Staff asked where we were coming from and joked a bit with us as we checked in. Clean place overall. Didn't get to use the pool because of our itinerary but hopefully another time. Looked clean and welcoming. "
