"Verdura Hotel Resort is an outstanding place to stay. We stayed for 4 nights and would have loved to stay longer. The positive aspects were the friendly staff, a huge pool and a good private beach. We loved the gym, it was equipped with spin bikes, fitness machines and weights. The spa pools with their different temperatures were very enjoyable and one of them had powerful water jets. Being a golf facility the gardens and grounds are very well kept - neither my husband nor I play golf but we had liked the look of the huge area and the sense of space and privacy that the location seemed to offer. The reality did not disappoint, it is a breath-takingly beautiful position and well maintained. There are bicycles available to use, these are provided complimentary by the resort and we used them daily. We tried a few of the restaurants on site, all were good and service was excellent. However, one negative was the arrangement at breakfast time, it is a small area where the food is presented buffet-style and people were bumping into each other along a narrow space. My omelette was raw in the middle and another diner was also complaining about this, the egg chef did seem to be extremely busy trying to deal with so many orders, perhaps a second chef to help him, perhaps a second stove is needed. Many dishes on the buffet tables were empty and replenishments did not seem to happen efficiently. Lastly, the bedroom wardrobe area is very dark we were forced to use our phone torches! "

"The owner/host here was incredibly helpful, providing us with a bottle of delicious wine upon request, great restaurant recommendations, and he made the most AMAZING canoli in the morning. The rooms were comfy and decorated in antique style. Great views from the patio!"

"Amazing staff, great location for 10 walk to beach/marina. 7 minute drive to valley of temples. Nice forecourt for breakfast and pizza. Ample parking and nice pool area. Complementary Prosecco on arrival and departure was gifted a bottle of local Wine... don know if this is the norm... but in my 30 years of travel, that was a first I have been gifted something on departure. "

"This property was great. Pool was lovely. We sat out our first afternoon and really enjoyed it. Grounds are truly beautiful. Gardens, lighting, paths. Room and bathroom was very spacious. Simple furnishings but comfortable. Clean. Staff were nice and welcoming. The breakfast had traditional Italian as well as sausages/bacon and eggs. Juices. Cappuccino, espresso. All excellent. "
