They are about 10 min from bungalow by car. Most other restaurants are in town. There are two small groceries which are almost always open, even weekends about 1 km up the road past the bungalow. Ferries run from town From Uturoa tonTahaa. . You Can get a ferry to Maupiti or Bora Bora but they have light schedules. Have a great time and let me know if I can help in anyway. My island friend Rino is there to help if needed but he speaks french and Tahitian so if you need help in English please let me know directly. We stayed three nights at Ocean Front Bungalow, and it was a perfect place to relax - beautiful views of Bora Bora and of the surf in the distance, amazing sunsets and very quiet. The bungalow was clean, bedding of good quality and very comfortable, plenty of towels, coffee and a cute outdoor shower. The owner was very responsive and helpful. Yes, there are mosquitoes (like everywhere in French Polynesia), and we managed to keep them out of the room by keeping the doors to the deck closed. There is a fan/AC unit in the room which helped to keep evening temps comfortable. The lagoon in front of the bungalow is quite shallow and not ideal for snorkeling, but it was fun to kayak. You could also see a lot of fish and stingrays right from the deck. This is a great deal for a couple that is looking for a quiet, beautiful place that is a short drive from restaurants and town. We loved our stay.

We arrived late afternoon and were unable to open the lock box to access the key. Our USA phone would not connect a local call so we had to find someone with a phone willing to call the local cohost to get us in. We found out that we had been given the wrong code.
We loved the folding glass doors opening our room up to a beautiful view.
The other two wood doors to access the bathroom and the front door were such a tight fit we had trouble opening and closing them.
The outdoor kitchen is a good idea but it was constantly flooded with water during this time of year. It was also poorly equipped with dishes and towels and cleaning products.
We did enjoy the use of the kayaks!
It would have been nice to have a couple of plastic lounge chairs to sit in on the deck.

We loved it! Be prepared for a few bugs at sundown - but we slept with the door open to the ocean and had no problems. Why go out to eat when you have a deck with this view?

We were very disappointed in this property. Just beware there is no ac and they want you to keep the doors open for air. You will have many bugs enter the villa. We told the host 30 min after arriving that these conditions weren’t appropriate. They didn’t offer anything back, even the cleaning fee that they did not use. I do not recommend Renting this place.

A very nice, private, cute little villa to stay in right over the water.
Check in was a breeze. Having a rental car is a must to get to nice beaches for swimming and groceries and etc.
there is no air conditioning but it’s not a problem when there’s a breeze off the water.
