"We had a most enjoyable experience at the Parador de Cardona, perched high up in a beautiful location. All the staff, reception, bar and restaurant, were very helpful and professional. Our room at the top of the castle was well-furnished with a large, comfortable four-poster bed and decent bathroom, both with wonderful views. The AC worked very well. Our dinner in the restaurant was delicious and the service perfectly paced, not hurried. As it’s half-way between homes in Spain and France, we very much look forward to our next visit. BTW, if you’re anticipating a comfortable hotel in an 11th century castle, it’s exactly that and I suggest you ignore low-star ratings mentioning lack of “coffee stations” and “pools”, it’s not a motel in MAGA-land, thank goodness! "

"Great spot, resturant doesnt exist or is closed temporarily? The room was great, AC was controlled from the room contrary to another review. The bed was good, free orange juice, apples and pastry snacks. Perfect for visiting Monseratt."

"This hotel was clean and quiet. It was also conveniently located in close proximity to the commuter train from Gileda to go to Barcelona and within easy driving distance to Montserrat. There was plenty of free parking. We only ate breakfast one morning and there was little selection, so we ate elsewhere the other mornings. It is affordably priced. I recommend to other travellers like us with a vehicle."

"Hotel Can Farrés was nothing short of a dream. The location was absolutely stunning, and the view was breathtaking. I highly recommend choosing a room with a view of the mountains. The staff was very helpful and kind and the breakfast was delicious. "

"The staff was just SO sweet. Our group of 4 was not in the mood to go out for dinner, so they set up a spread in the kitchen. Somehow we booked the honeymoon suite so were surprised to find a big heart of rose petals on our bed as well as champagne and Cokes. They let us park right out front the entire stay. I could go on, but you get the picture."
