We were on the first floor as requested, shame there's no lift so we had to carry buggy/suitcases up. Place itself is in a great location, being so close to the harbour, the town centre, the beach. It's absolutely superb!
The triple room was clean albeit a bit on the small side. The bathroom is basic and old fashioned but was clean. Does need new toilets! Takes a while to flush I felt.
Seeing half ripped net curtain and wardrobe with broken off knob in the room downgraded it.
But for a one night, it was nice. The double bed was good, pillows were a little soft. The single bed was a bit more lumpy which is a shame.
It was comfortable for a night's stay and able to keep luggage safe whilst we had a roam around the area before collecting it was a lovely touch.
The staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel is slightly dated but clean. Our room was a basic double with a rear yard view but was clean. Bathroom was good and a powerful shower. TV and tea making as expected. There's no parking and on street outside the hotel is £3 an hour. Free parking between 6pm to 9am but that still equates to £27 per day. I managed to find free on street parking up the hill, about a 10 minutes walk away. Hotel is bang in the middle of all the bars and restaurants on the harbour and 2 minutes walk to the UK's largest Wetherspoons with lovely views over the beach and sea. Would stay again.
Nice clean room. Hotel seemed to unstaffed most of the time with instructions to WhatsApp if you need anything. WhatsApp’s responded to promptly however. Difficult to park nearby if town is busy e.g. Saturday night

Friendly, polite hosts, and warm, clean room. My room had a good view of the harbour area, and was very spacious. Perfectly placed for the town, and extremely good value.
No soundproofing, loud bar could be heard until about midnight, then drunk people walking loudly around every ten minutes to get to their rooms or somewhere. I could hear the conversations of the men in the room next to me until 1am. Musty damp that irritated my allergies.
Staff and location great and shower hot and room warm, if you can handle the rest.
The room was nice and clean everything was available that was needed.
They upgraded me to a family room at no extra cost because I had my 1 year old grandson with me they even provided a travel cot for him I would highly recommend
