"David's place exceeded my expectations! Very smart design and layout. Quality craftmanship and attention to detail. Super clean. I wish my daughter and i could have stayed longer! Close enough to Middlebury College for this to be a great option for 2 people. David was very nice to stop by to introduce himself and see if we needed anything. We didn't see him again, but knew he was only a phone call away. Perfect."

"The property was picturesque. Thought i would bring some books or read what is there. There wasnt a tv (as the write up states). Can bring a tablet. The cottage has wifi in the there. Very strong signal. But you cant use it. You have to use the house one. Signal can be spotty. 2nd night we bought a puzzle to pass time. But overall the place was beautiful. And i would stay again."

"The home is charming, immaculate and amidst woods with no neighbors in eye or earshot. It is on a dirt road, so an awd vehicle is a good idea. A stream runs along the driveway. The Ottauquechee River is across the road. The bathroom is on the first floor, and bedrooms on the second floor. The smoke detector goes off if you saute on the stove. I recommend learning how to turn off a wired in smoke detector. You should open the kitchen window when you saute, because most of the smoke detectors...

"Although the stream was devastated by the Vermont floods, it was still enjoyable to relax and watch pass by. Several opportunities to explore the area for fishing and hiking. Location = private and remote on a steep dirt road, yet 20 min to Sugarbush, 30 min to Bolton, and <15 min to both Waterbury and Waitsfield centers. House = ideal for 2 adults and 2 kids - 3 spacious bedrooms with comfy beds and 2 nice baths. "My husband and I plus our 3 yr old dog Rags spent a wonderful couple of days at the Carriage House. The location was perfect within easy reach of Woodstock and the house was beautifully decorated, warm comfortable and spacious. The owners left us a pair of eclipse glasses which was such a thoughtful touch. We hope to visit again soon!"

"This is probably one of the best views and experiences I’ve had in a short-term rental. The scenery was superb and so relaxing. I was here at the end of February, with snow on the ground, and it was a winter wonderland. The cabin itself is well-appointed and very comfortable, even for such a small space. I had all the pots and pans I needed to cook for one every day. (I stayed here for 2 weeks, which is probably longer than most people.) Remember the fridge size and don’t over shop! Tankless...

"I loved this place. It's a rustic cottage with all the amenities. It was near the university so it was easy to go back and forth. It was clean and cozy, tucked away in the foliage. The host and hostess were very accommodating and responsive. I hope to stay here again next year. "
