Top tier spot. Clean, warm in the winter, very responsive owners. Plenty of local stuff to do nearby like waterfall walks, Caves of Hella, wool market, and a cute cafe. A great middle point for exploring golden circle and south coast.

Had a very relaxing stay watching the Northern Lights from the comfort of our bed. Everything is 1st class here. Very responsive to calls - explained how everything worked. All managed remotely so anything can be resolved quickly. Highly recommend. Conveniently located to sightseeing. Bring whatever food or drink as it is a distance to go out after arriving. Air fryer tea kettle and burner. If doing laundry bring soap.

Great location, right across from the Geysirs and 10 minutes to Gullfoss waterfall. The room was spacious. Hotel common area was lovely and quiet. The only negative was the room was warm (no AC and no fan); the only solution is to turn the heat off and open the door (but there are quite a bit of insects in the area). At the hotel restaurant we ordered the chicken wings (very good), lamb chops (good), hamburger (odd).

Would have preferred a room with an enclosed shower.. other than that, it was perfect

Our one night stay at Landhotel was wonderful. From the moment we arrived everyone was super friendly and helpful. We stayed in April so the place was quiet and peaceful. The hotel feels very new and modern and is set away from all other ambient light sources, making it an ideal location for Northern Lights viewing. They took time to explain the amenities and dinner options. Our daughters have Celiac (gluten free) and they were great with food options for both dinner and breakfast including...

We spent one night here as a fun novelty. Unfortunately it was cloudy, so we didn't see the northern lights or stars but that's ok! It was still a really fun quirky place to stay that was extremely comfortable and cute. Be aware: you can book an ingloo WITH or WITHOUT a bathroom. We booked one without a private bathroom so you have to walk a minute to the common building by the parking lot, it has multiple bathrooms and showers and a little kitchenette with a sink and espresso machine for use....

Was pleasantly surprised by how modern this hotel is, though it's literally in the middle of nowhere (which we actually liked). Room was clean, well designed, everything felt new. Nice modern shower, comfortable beds. Breakfast simple but totally adequate. Note: GPS took us to the right from road 25, you actually need to turn left.

Great

Amazing spot! Stayed in the one with the view of the volcano. Had hot tub and dry sauna. Will definitely book again.

We arrived at the hotel very late - around 11 pm or so after a long day with a delayed flight. The gentleman at the front desk was incredibly helpful and welcoming. Unfortunately for us, the restaurant was closed, but they have a bar open all night long with skyr, sandwiches and delicious cakes, which is great if you arrive late and need a snack! Breakfast was the best one we had throughout the trip. The selection was really great and puts so many other hotels to shame. They had skyr, homemade...

A cozy place and neat location. If I am lucky enough to go back to Iceland again I'd stay here again too.

Todo muy bueno

Everything you need in the highlands. Rooms were small, bathrooms limited, but in each room. If you know that upfront and set expectations, this place delivers with an excellent staff big dining/bar areas with plenty of choices and great darkness to enjoy the northern lights. Not a resort hotel. A well run and stocked mountain hut experience.

My only complaint would be the rooms are small and

Clean, delicious breakfast, excellent experience,

Very nice place
