"This house was great for three couples. Three bedrooms. One big full bathroom with another bathroom with a toilet, which was perfect to have. Kitchen was equipped plus the outdoor grill. There were a few spices so when we cooked we didn’t have to purchase. The hot tub is excellent way to end the night. As far as location, we loved the private space being outside of town. There looked like there was a vegetable stand around the corner but we didn’t end up needing to stop. We did two day trips...

"Excellent, updated, modern apartment. Good location to explore Golden Circle. We enjoyed the hot tub on site and the Tomato farm nearby. Very spacious, The hosts were easy to communicate with prior to arrival and were very responsive to our questions. Great stay in Iceland!"

"Overall, our three generations of family enjoyed our stay at this property. There was plenty of room for the eight of us to spread out or be together, as desired. Everyone raved about the comfortable beds and bedding. We found the kitchen to be very well stocked. It was a pleasure to cook meals for a big crowd. "Not sure what all the bad reviews are about, but this place is pretty sweet. Well kept, beautiful place. Our rooms (101 102) were stunning. They have that log cabin feel. The bathroom was a bit smelly, but I think that’s because of the sulfer in the water. I put a wet cloth over the drain, and it was fine. Fantastic “common area” and the amenities were great. "Photos can not capture the beautiful scenery at the villa. You are surrounded by nature and the view of the Northern Lights surrounds the area when they are dancing. Our teens, young adults, middle-aged, and senior family members were all able to enjoy the spacious layout. Travel to local sights is easy and worth it in order to be in the tranquil quiet by the lake. I highly recommend staying here. The owners are wonderful hosts."

"We have been guests at the Afternoon Cottages twice. We stayed in #4 the first time and #5 the second time. They are mirror images of each other. Everything was clean and the location is perfect for seeing the Aurora as long as the sky is clear. Communication with the property manager was easy and effortless and on our first stay we even extended it by a day. I highly recommend the Afternoon Cottages."
