A small cabin, just perfect for two people. Great location on the lake, in a quilter cove. This cabin is surrounded by trees, so it has some privacy. Very clean, good appliances, comfy bed.

Nice comfortable little cottage. Well appointed with everything you need. Parking wasn't the best and would be nice to know you had to carry supplies to the cottage. A garden cart would help. #8 is the best of the cottages, The most private and shaded. Mid summer weekends can be party central at the mouth of the river. Overall a nice experience.

Cozy, comfortable lakeside retreat. Even though next cabin is about 10 feet away, we were never bothered by noise and the screen porch gave a lovely view (framed by trees)of the the lake not 10 feet away. I think it is a better cabin than the ones on open lawn, as it feels more secluded. Kitchen adequately equipped for basic cooking and the heating unit is quiet and unobtrusive when called upon. Four could sleep very comfortably -- six in a pinch but it would be crowded. Windows all work and screens in very good shape. Very close to town yet quiet enough to hear the loon calls. I would definitely come back!

If you haven't seen the movie On Golden Pond, you can watch it on YouTube. You'll know exactly what to expect for decor and ambience. This was an exceptional experience! Someone posted about the screen door slamming each time you closed it. My Great Grandparents door did the same, when I didn't control it. I felt like that excited little kid, each time I heard it. We rarely went inside. The screen porch was too peaceful. The loon sounds were mesmerizing. Don't be envious that you have less sun. You'll be happy when you go to sleep. There's a little walk to the camp, but a lot more privacy. If you are used to five star lodging, don't bother yourself. If you want the true Maine experience, this is it! You'll need nothing except an extra fan and some floats for the water. You need to be ready to unplug from real life. One spot on the screen porch allowed for me to use my phone and the internet. Fortunately, town is 7 minutes away. The town is charming and the people are friendly. We needed maintenance for something small. The managing company were top notch. They were gracious and responded immediately. The men they sent were patient, efficient, polite, and very kind! The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. Other than an ant or two, we didn't have an issue with mosquitoes, moths or flying pests. I have absolutely nothing bad to say. The owner was also responsive and cares that your stay is worth it to you. We brought our two dogs. They loved it too!

Cozy , efficient cabin. Comfortable bed. We had no need for the heat. Enjoyed daily visits of loons and wild ducks. Appreciate the use of the canoe. Our week visit went by quickly.

Cottage was charming, very clean, had everything you needed. Great water pressure and hot water. Nice screened porch, spent a lot of time there. Beds were small, no larger than a double bed. Futon mattress needs replacing.
Area is beautiful, great water views with some tree privacy. Only drawback to property is the constant logging and other trucks you can hear all day since it’s not too far from the road.
Overall, it’s a rustic but nice cottage and we were very happy with our stay.
