"A beautiful farmhouse shaped like a fortress just outside of Calitri. The host is very accommodating and helped me make some reservations despite not speaking English/my Italian being no good. Waking up to the birds was a treat, the bed was cozy and the shower worked well. It would be fun to have a bunch of friends stay there for a week. Definitely requires a car, I thought maybe one could walk in and out of Calitri but it's an enormous vertical distance, it would take hours."

"Villa Ulivi is a brand new B & B set up in a beautiful rural area of Basilica. The hosts were extremely helpful despite our language differences and went out of their way to ensure an enjoyable stay in this wonderful new build villa which is no more than 200m from the SS648 and well positioned for either Potenza to the south or Melfi to the north.
