"Having a small kitchen and such pleasant and helpful hosts made all the difference for us. The property is beautiful in the summer with tons of pretty flowers, bird song, and country views. We were located perfectly to explore Limerick and many hiking locations near by. We had everything we needed. Americans should prepare for no AC as standard in Europe and everything is just a bit smaller than we are used to but that is true everywhere. Would recommend this option for anyone traveling in the area and you want more privacy and small kitchen amenities. We made a few meals here and had everything we needed except maybe a small mixing bowl. Thank you both for your kindness."
"Convenient location for our early morning flight, breakfast was plentiful and ready at 6.30am. Dinner was great and staff and service was excellent. Room was big and comfortable, though could hear a lot of door banging from other rooms."
"Lovely accommodation, clean comfortable with refreshing decor. A few mins walk to nice pubs and the river. Hearty hot Irish breakfast. Joe the host was really helpful and kind. Everything went well. Thank you again Joe!"
Bunratty Castle Hotel & Leisure Club, BW Premier Collection
8/10 Good
"Beautiful property. Adam was very helpful and kind upon check in. Room was nice. Loved the fact that this hotel had air conditioning (we arrived during a heat wave).
Plan ahead- there was no mini fridge in the suites.
There is a ice machine and water bottle filler, but no ice bucket so I had to walk to the machine with a mug for ice.
I'm a somewhat larger woman (16-18 US) and the robes provides were just barely too small so could not enjoy unfortunately."
"Id love to thank all of the staff for their patience and guidance! It was a great stay. Everyone was so respectful and willing to help. So sweet and nice about everything too"
"Wonderful family run hotel with lovely personal touches and attentive staff. Very family friendly with plenty of things to keep young kids entertained. Staff were so friendly to us and the kids and we look forward to returning sometime again. One of the nicest buffet breakfasts we’ve had in a hotel. Highly recommend a visit"
Thatched Irish Cottage in Beautiful and Tranquil Countryside
10/10 Excellent
"This a great cottage. Its about 5 minutes from Adare town village. Currently its a bit of a trek to get there but the new motorway being built will change that (for the Ryder Cup in 2027).The cottage has two sleeping areas one with two beds and other with one bed in the main room and another in a room off the back. It has a good living area and kitchen and outside laundry facilities shared with other apartment.Host met us on arrival and lives across the farm. He has two friendly little dogs that came a greeted us each time we arrived back.We stayed for four nights to explore the south and west coasts but could easily have stayed much longer if we'd had the time available. Would highly recommend and we would come back here if we returned to the area."
