We had dinner at a Mexican restaurant less than a mile away from where we stayed it was recommend their were eight of us not one liked it!

"Parts are under construction, but clean and renovated areas were nice. Continental breakfast was nothing fancy, but included in room price & was good. McDonald’s & Arby’s are easy walk, too!"

We always stay here
"We always stay here when we’re driving between Colorado and Texas. Is the perfect place to stop for the night. They are dog friendly. Have a very nice restaurant located inside the motel. We’re grateful Raton has such a great motel."

"This property is a great location if you’re going to go hiking in Sugaright Canyon or Capulin volcano. The Oasis and Pappas’ Sweet Shop had some of the best green and red chili I’ve ever had! The dinosaur tracks at Clayton Lake were also impressive!"

We drove thought Raton. It is an old town and not a whole lot seems to have been updated. There are buildings boarded up downtown, a few small cafes that serve breakfast lunch and dinner. There is a McDonald's close to the interstate.

Ate at K-BOB’s, salad bar is outstanding, steak was just so-so, no taste, but the beer is way overpriced. $5.00 a bottle for a Shiner Bock! I stopped at a gas station across the street on the way back and bought a six-pack for less than $9.00.
