Landscaping and the view were beautiful. The decor in the main area was like you would see in a magazine. Breakfast and service were great. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom could use some updating.
This is a real find in the middle of not much! Very nicely furnished in great detail and comfort. Not much personal attention since there is limited staff . Unfortunately the weather was horrible during our stay but do recommend this special place when you are visiting the Valley of the Temples.
Stunning restoration of a Baron's country estate house. Our suite included a loving area and enormous private patio with views of the agrarian countryside. Town of Realmonte was small and authentic, not touristy. Would stay again for the country feel.
This was a wonderfully decorated and maintained hotel, a true gem not far from city of Agrigento… very comfortable and quiet but they are short staffed and really struggling to cope with the service both during the day through check in, breakfast and dinner… if the management deals with that issue, it can very well have a 5 star across all areas…
The place has beautiful gardens. We rented two rooms and stayed for one night — and how lucky we were that it was only for one night!
The rooms were dark and poorly ventilated, with a musty smell. In Room 16, where my husband and I stayed, the shower didn’t drain properly, so water immediately started pooling when we turned on the shower. Because of that, only my husband was able to shower that night. The beautiful swimming pool in the photos was so dirty with all kinds of bugs and leaves that we couldn’t use it. The property had a lovely garden, but overall, it seemed poorly maintained.
However, the biggest downside of this accommodation isn’t even these issues. If, like me, you ever need a detailed invoice and try to contact the property for it, you will never get what you need. The phone number listed on their website doesn’t work, and they never check their email. Even after Hotels.com sent several urgent messages on my behalf, there was no response. A woman named Alex — I’m not sure if she’s the manager or an employee — never answers calls. She doesn’t reply on WhatsApp or by text message either.
If you plan to stay here, make sure you get everything you need while you still have face-to-face contact with the staff. And if you consider dark, damp rooms with a musty smell part of the charm of a farm stay, then perhaps you won’t mind staying here!
A disappointing stay - wonderful location with insufficient staff and customer support measures in place. When we stayed there was no internet (after local fire) no telephone signal (isolated location) and, at night, no way to raise assistance as mobile phones didn’t work. Sadly this B&B is more shabby than shic and has forgotten how to look after its customers. Unless attitudes to paying customers changes from the owners this B&B should be closed within the year.
We had an excellent stay. Everything was amazing, but the only tidbit is that it seems understaffed. We had to find someone to stock towels, clean trash, and the pool area.
Beautiful, secluded location, although the place feels more like an Airbnb than a hotel. The internet didn’t work throughout our stay and some problem with the water tank in the bathroom kept making an annoying noise. Still charming though.
Too bad that the service and some details in the rooms are not aligned with the magnificent refurbished property and surroundings.
Dinner is overpriced even if the food is good.
This property was once impressive but has clearly fallen on hard times. The setting, furniture, and fittings remain beautiful, but service and upkeep are sorely lacking.
To start, there is no luggage service. Guests are left to haul their own suitcases across a gravel path and up 10–20 uneven steps. When I struggled with mine, “Big George” simply walked past and told me so—without offering help. Staffing is minimal: only Alex and George, who appear briefly at check-in and breakfast.
The common areas and bar are attractive, yet entirely unattended. The restaurant opens only by prior appointment, which strips away any sense of convenience.
The rooms are worse. Mine was filthy, with cobwebs hanging from the nightstand and under the wardrobe. I made the mistake of looking beneath the bed, where thick layers of dust and webs suggested no one had cleaned for months. Several power outlets were non-functioning, with some even dangling dangerously from the wall. Lighting was equally neglected—fixtures with two sockets held only a single bulb.
This could be a wonderful place to stay if management invested in cleanliness, safety, and proper staffing. Until then, the charm of the setting is overshadowed by neglect.

A fuir!!!!!
Bref fuyez cet endroit
