Loudest hotel room I've ever experienced. From the neighbors' doors slamming, to the elephants walking around above and flushing their toilet, the A/C that sounded like we were on a boat, housekeeping slamming drawers and the guy in the connecting room hacking up a lung, it wasn't the quietest stay. ...

I hate to always point out the worse, but other than these problems, it was a great experience. The toilet in Room 426 did not operate correctly, and there seemed to be some mold in the shower. The elevator smelled of recent solvent fumes, and the floor was sticky for all three days of our stay. ...

Refugio is my home town; and I was there to attend a multi-class high school reunion. I was saddened to see how Hurricane Harvey changed Refugio for the worst 2 years ago. Do not expect convenience shopping. It's primarily a gas stop for truckers.
