Villa Iris comprises from a large (4.000 sqm)private garden with flowers,trees, stone BBQ, swimming pool of 40sqm with sum beds and outside shower. In the villa all rooms are fully airconditioned and have access to a fully furnished balcony which offers breathtaking view. In the ground floor there is a fully equipped kitchen, a large living room with dining room and office, a full bathroom with shower and a bedroom with two single beds. The upper floor has two bedrooms, the first with a double bed and the second with one bed and a full bathroom with bathtub. The villa can accommodate until 6 persons as it has a bunk bed and sofa bed .Also there are amentities for children and garden games.

Amazing Villa

Bigger than expected. Wonderful property with amazing views. Great location, easy access to rethmyno. You need a car to get around. The BBQ was great !! Outside fridge a real bonus.

Villa Iris

Being an older property this villa enjoyed a large plot and garden and had spacious rooms. The view from the balcony towards the Mediterranean was exceptional. Dora was an exceptional host.

Relaxed stay with beautiful view

We enjoyed our vacation at Dora's house very much. Dora has even provided a self cooked a meal at our arrival (and later even cookies). We have BBQed a number of tímes at the pool. Challenge: quite a steep entrance to the premises Assets: Lots of space IN and outside the house.

Gorgeous stay in beautiful villa

We had such a wonderful stay in Dora's villa it completed exceeded our expectations. We were four adults aged mid 30s to mid 60s and we found the house so spacious for our group. The pool was fabulous we swam in it every day when we were there and it is perfectly located to catch sun most of the day. We spent most of our days lounging around the house and really felt so comfortable it felt like home. In the surrounding area there is a lot of lovely restaurants a short drive away and the larger city of Rethmyno only a 15 min drive with even more resturants and beautiful scenery so highly recommend a visit to there. There is also a lot of super markets and a large lidl a short drive from the house also. Car is essential for staying here I would say as the hill is steep up to the house but fine in a car. Dora was a fabulous host, left us with lovely moussaka on our first day arriving and delivered some gorgeous week in our second week. We would definitely recommend her as a host as we had everything we needed. We would love to go back

Un magnifique séjour

La maison de Dora est superbe ! Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. L’hébergement semble plus grand en vrai que sur les photos. La famille de Dora a été adorable. Un séjour que nous referont avec un immense plaisir. La vue et l’emplacement de la maison sont extraordinaires.

Wenn einige Mängel nicht wären, ein 5 Sterne Villa

Die Villa war sehr gut! Tolle Aussicht, tolle Grillplatz, super Terrasse vorne, super Auto Abstellplatz, überall in jedem Zimmer Klimaanlage, Küchen Ausstattung: war OK, sehr schöne Pool mit toller Aussicht, Aber zu bemängeln sind: Nur ein Badezimmer mit Badewanne (sollte grade im Sommer Dusche sein), Matratzen zu alt, Fernseher zu alt (heutzutage sollte wenigstens im Wohnzimmer ein Smart TV sein), hinter Terrasse war ständig von den Baum dreckig, am Pool Rand die Holz Fläche uneben und die Schrauben lose und ragten raus – Vorsicht Verletzungsgefahr! Wenn die Mängel beseitigt werde oder nicht wären, ein 5 Sterne Villa

Ferienhaus mit viel Platz und toller Aussicht

Sehr nette und zuverlässige Gastgeberin. Unkomplizierter Kontakt und guter Service. Wir haben uns im großen und schönen Ferienhaus wohlgefühlt. Viele Restaurants, Supermärkte, Sehenswürdigkeiten und Strand in wenigen Autominuten erreichbar. Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Empfehlenswert!

Un petit paradis

La villas Iris est un véritable havre de paix, seules les cigales vous accompagnent de leur chant et offrent une véritable ambiance de vacances. La villa tout pour plaire ne fusse que par sa vue unique sur la campagne et la mer. Plusieurs terrasses vous permettent d”en profiter. De la piscine vous avez l’impression de plonger dans la mer. Elle est grande et située à côté d’une pergola où vous pouvez organiser un petit barbecue. A l’intérieur, la villa est très spacieuse et il a a tout pour que vous vous sentiez comme chez vous. Il faut une voiture pour louer cette villa pas loin de Réthymnon. Je ne conseille pas cet endroit aux personnes à mobilité réduite car elle est située en hauteur et l’accès un peu compliqué mais c’est ce qui en fait tout son charme. Enfin, cerise sur le gâteau, l’acceuil est chaleureux. Jamais nous n’oublierons notre séjour à la villa Iris et la gentillesse de nos hôtes. Merci à eux et à très bientôt.

Traumhafte Lage

Das Ferienhaus war genau wie in der Beschreibung. Es hat an nichts gefehlt und die Kommunikation mit der Besitzerin war bestens. Es war sogar ein leckeres Abendessen für den Ankunftstag vorbereitet. Eine ungewöhnlich freundliche Geste. Beim nächsten mal Kreta entscheiden wir uns sicherlich wieder für diese Unterkunft.

Schöner Familienurlaub

Wir haben dort als Familie mit drei erwachsenen Kindern unseren ersten Teil des Kreta-Urlaubs verbracht. Das Haus ist sehr geräumig mit viel Platz für gemeinsames Beisammensein, aber auch mit Rückzugsorten. Wir haben eine sehr heiße Woche mit Temperaturen an die 40 Grad "erwischt", die Klimaanlage und der schöne Pool haben für ausreichend Erfrischung gesorgt. Die Betreuung war sehr gut, fehlende Dinge (z. B. Weingläser) wurden sofort bereitgestellt. Die Aussicht von der Terrasse und vom Pool ist wirklich umwerfend. Die Beschreibung "in der Nähe des Strandes" ist allerdings nicht nachvollziehbar (ca. 10min Autofahrt! ). Fliegengitter sind an fast allen Fenstern vorhanden. Zu empfehlen wäre noch eine ausreichende Verschattung der Terrasse (mindestens eine große Markise), da bei heißen Tagen wir den schönen Blick nur in den Abendstunden genießen konnten. Ferner eine weitere Tischgarnitur für die hintere Terrasse. Auch würden wir empfehlen, bei der Poolumrandung das Holz durch Steinfliesen zu ersetzen. Das aber nur als Empfehlung. Die Lage ist auch für Erkundung der Insel gut geeignet. Mietwagen ist aber zwingend erforderlich. Insgesamt war es ein wunderschöner Urlaub.

Une maison pour des vacances réussies!

Nous avons passés un séjour vraiment très agréable dans cette maison qui est bien située pour visiter l'ile . La vue de la piscine et de la terrasse est superbe (voiture indispensable) , et tout en étant à proximité des plages et des commerces, nous étions au calme .Il n'y a pas de vis à vis. Vous trouverez à Maroulas plusieurs restaurants offrant une cuisine typique et un panorama exceptionnel. Dora a été une hôtesse très accueillante et je la remercie pour ses présents culinaires et pour nous avoir attendu jusqu'au milieu de la nuit, le jour de notre arrivée. Je recommande cette maison qui a vraiment beaucoup d'atouts.

Wunderschöne Zeit

Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt! Die Kommunikation mit Dora im Vorfeld hat super funktioniert, sie hat uns sogar Lunch zubereitet... Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet, mit dem Auto ist in kurzer Zeit alles zu erreichen (Strand, Stadt, Supermarkt)...die Aussicht am Abend von der Terrasse ist ein Traum... Fazit:ein wunderschöner und erholsamer Urlaub...unserer Tochter liebte den Pool 😀

Aanrader in Kreta

Vakantiewoning met prachtig uitzicht in een rustige omgeving. Het huis is goed onderhouden, niet luxueus maar met het nodige comfort. Ruime slaapkamers met prima bedden. De woning heeft verschillende terrassen waar je beschut kan zitten. De eigenares is bijzonder gastvrij, stuurde de nodige uitleg om het huis te bereiken en verwelkomde ons met een fijne maaltijd.

Very steep track ,but great views,very private

Internal of property cannot be faulted. Exterior looking tired and in need of some TLC/replacement, example:paint work,pool decking, barbecue, some external lights not working,some illuminate during daylight but not at night when needed,sun canopy broken off. Website photo needs updating as property shown is now enclosed by high shrubbery and upper and lower gardens inaccessible. Being totally enclosed makes it "very" private 😎

Excellent countryside villa

Thank you Dora, for welcoming us to your fabulous villa. It sits on a steep hillside that allows for terrific views of the coast and mountains. A large, well equipped (aircon excellent) house and surrounding mature gardens, with terraces on north and south sides for shaded dining and covered bbq and seating area by pool, with chairs and sun shades. Local tavernas are very good but a substantial effort to walk to in the summer heat, only a few minutes in the car. Perfect rural base for our family holiday, short drives to Rethymno and many northern beaches, easy to get onto roads to explore south of island. Great Minimart 2 minute drive. Highly recommended. Car essential, ideally a decent one.

Stimmiges Gesamtpaket

Ein rundum gelungener Urlaub mit der ganzen Familie. Das Haus ist großzügig geschnitten, so dass sich gerade auch ältere Kinder perfekt zurückziehen können. Die Schlafzimmer sind sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet genau wie der Rest des Hauses mit viel Liebe zum Detail. In der großzügigen Küche kann man bequem auch zu zweit kochen und werkeln. Lediglich die Spülmaschine und das zweite Bad entsprechen nicht ganz deutschen Verhältnissen, was jedoch den Urlaub letztlich nicht sehr beeinträchtigt hat. Wir haben halt öfter gespült. Der Garten ist sehr schön angelegt mit zu dieser Jahreszeit vielen bunt blühenden Büschen und der Pool ist so groß, dass auch gern die ganze Familie gleichzeitig Platz findet. Wir haben dort schöne Grillabende verbracht. Das Haus bietet eine super Aussicht aufs Meer und Rethymo ist idealer Ausgangspunkt für viele Unternehmungen. Ob Strand, shoppen oder wandern, alles geht. Mietwagen ist erforderlich; die Auffahrt zum Haus ein echtes Erlebnis! An das Hundegebell gewöhnt man sich genau so schnell wie an die vielen Motorräder. Kurz um toller Urlaub mit lieber Betreuung. Wir können das Haus nur weiterempfehlen 😎.

Heerlijk en ruim verblijf, veel privacy

Een ruime, goed uitgeruste woning tegen een berghelling. Van alle gemakken voorzien. Schitterende uitzicht vanaf het supergrote terras op zee en op besneeuwde berg. Vanaf het zwembad ook zeezicht. Rondom meerdere terrassen om te eten en te ontbijten en heerlijke plek bij het zwembad en de overdekte buitenkeuken. Zeer zorgzame eigenaresse. Had zelfs een warme maaltijd klaargemaakt (giouvetsi) omdat we laat arriveerden.

Wunderschöne Landvilla

Die Villa Iris ist wunderschön gelegen und ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge auf der ganzen Insel. Das großzügige Haus und der Garten sind sehr gepflegt. Der Pool wurde während unseres Aufenthaltes mehrere Male gereinigt; Hand- und Betttücher wurden einmal die Woche gewechselt. Die Kommunikation mit Dora, die uns mit einem Abendessen empfangen und mit Kuchen beschenkt hatte, verlief problemlos. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Ruhige Villa mit Pool in toller Lage

Sehr nette Besitzerin, die uns sogar ein Willkommensessen vorbereitet hatte. Das großzügige Haus liegt in Hanglage sehr ruhig , mit schönem Pool und Garten. Nach Rethymnon ist es nicht weit, wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen.
