Casa Vitae sits in a quiet corner of Rethymno Old Town, away from the crowds but close to the Old Town`s lanes, historic sites, traditional restaurants and cafes. The house is a 3-minute walk from the Archaeological Museum and the Fortezza, the Venetian castle. The historic sites and the town`s restaurants are all reachable on foot. Rethymno lies in the centre of Crete, a convenient base for seeing the island`s major sights.

The local bus station is about a 10-minute walk away, and Chania airport is approx. 65 km by road.

By road it is approx. 65 km to Chania airport, approx. 85 km to Heraklion airport, approx. 50 km to Chania port (Souda) and approx. 80 km to Heraklion port.

There is no on-site parking; a free public parking area is about a 5-minute walk away. The Old Town is pedestrian from 1 April to 30 November, so please plan your arrival by car accordingly.

Good to know before booking:
- Rethymno Old Town is a pedestrian zone from 1 April to 30 November, so cars cannot drive up to the villa during that period.
- The swimming pool is closed from 31 October to 31 March.
- Quiet hours are 14:00-18:00 and 23:00-08:00.
- Check-in is between 15:00 and 21:00 with an in-person welcome; check-out is by 11:00.
- No smoking indoors. Pets are not allowed, and parties or events are not permitted.
