Everyone beware, Expedia messed up and listed the property as 4 person, even tho it is technically for 2 adults and 2 small children. We were very shocked when we got there and were told that the 4 of us would probably not fit. However the hotel staff was incredible and did help get us set up into the hotel. Food was good too. We would stay here again!

Great location. Food is ok. All is fine except can smell the septic from the room, especially in the bathroom area but understand it as an old building.

Great location, clean rooms, easy self check in and out and good breakfast. Spartan, only the absolute necessities, shared bathroom and shower facilities not ideal, but clean and accessible. Outside door hard to open and crammed stairs just as one tries to enter with suitcases. Lots of stairs to contend with.

Overall had a positive experience! The guesthouse is in a fantastic location, parking was easy, and great breakfast provided. I found the bed linens in poor condition (holes, stains) as well as the building itself needing some repairs. I would stay here again given the value for great spot nearby to the city.

We, a family of 4 stayed in a room with private bath for 1 night. The private bath is not inside the room..but on the outside and you need to use a lock and key to prevent others from using that bathroom. The room and the bathroom look dated but they've made a good attempt to give it a modern touch. The kitchenette had enough utensils and cutlery for us to use. The free breakfast, proximity to places of interest - downtown area (restaurants, shopping, the hallgrímskirkja Church) and a good price, makes it a value for the money. One minor thing to highlight - the hot water has a foul sulphur smell that gets the clothes and jacket you wear after the shower. It takes a couple of days for it go away. Parking is a bit of an issue also. Sunday parking is free. Come Monday morning, the car has to be either moved or you pay by the hour depending on the zone you are parked in. I would definitely try this place again and recommend to others if staying in the downtown area is an important factor during the trip.

First impression from the amazing staff is very welcoming. Attentive and helpful from the moment you walk in. With 4 in our party, the 4 single beds where perfect. We thought a shared bathroom would be an issue and it truly wasn’t. Having a small kitchenette was also very handy and this place is one I will keep in mind for future stays

It was a great place to stay with kitchen facilities. Breakfast was included, but we had to walk to the sister guesthouse which was not disclosed when we booked, but it was just up the street. The staff was great. The location was perfect. The doors were quite heavy to try and get the bags up the steps to our loft appt. It would have been nice to have had a second key. Parking was hard to find at times. I would recommend staying here.
