"This property is listed as a "modern retreat". It is not. I will say the beds were comfortable, there were no bugs, the neighborhood was nice and the owner communicated well. It does say it sleeps 6, which it does, but there are a total of 4 chairs in the whole place, 3 kitchen chairs and 1 desk chair. The owner refers to a "balcony" where we could hang out as a family. The balcony is a closed in room where the washer and dryer are, no other furniture and windows that you cant open because...

Hotel Lombardy

10/10 Excellent

"I had stayed there before so I was upgraded and had a wonderful suite. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed a good dinner in their restaurant night before I was in dc to attend a conference the next day. I hated to leave!"

Glover Park - Georgetown

"Unexpectedly comfortable bed and lots of soft pillows, which I prefer. Even tried to learn where the pillows came from so I could order some for us! We made use of the kitchenette and were grateful for it. Room and hallways were a bit musty smelling. The is a value for the area and much less expensive than hotels a mile down Wisconsin Ave toward Georgetown. Just as convenient for people needing to stay close to the Georgetown University hospital. Einstein Bagels opens at 6 am and is a short walk (about 4 blocks) away."

Omni Shoreham Hotel

"The location of this Omni is fantastic. Quiet neighborhood just outside DC. Restaurants, shopping, and a Metro stop within walking distance. Our room had a lovely view of the Washington Monument in the distance. Loved the garden and pool. As always at the Omni, the room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Some in our party did not enjoy breakfast at the on-property restaurant."

"The hotel overall is very good, good value for the money. Good location for tourists. In terms of the interior environment (lobby etc.), it has a unique blend of that DC-common 'majestic design' style, mixed with contemporary fun vibe. The staff are friendly and helpful. I was lucky enough to get an early check in 9am-ish. They gave me a few vouchers that I could use in their Fireclay restaurant. The room is quite spacious. It has a safe (I think that was not mentioned in the list of amenities). They have complimentary bottled water. USB and USB-C charging ports around bedside. Nespresso machine (no tea). Personally I tend to like firm mattress, and the bed here is comfortable for me. There were a few minor drawbacks, mostly around the washing/bathroom area. There are very few provisions for hanging things (toiletries, towels etc). Would be nice to have a trash bin below the sink. Also the water can easily spilll out in the shower area, potentially making a mess in the bathroom floor. The hairdryer isn't great. Also - and this probably isn't the hotel's fault - there is a rather loud ice cream truck with an active exhaust stationed around the corner between 15th St and Pennsylvania Ave."
