The cleaniest resort i have seen, to say it's so busy it's spotless. The location is lovely right on the beach and the water park is so much fun for the children. Service is amazing and they really make you smile especially at breakfast. The food caters for all and all the restaurants are amazing! The only thing i would say is upon arrival nothing is really explained to you about how to book the restaurants where anything is, that you only get 3 restaurant booking in a week, the reception staff need more information on how to help clients that haven't been there before. Great stay and would highly recommend

A great hotel for families. The buffet had a really good selection every day (we stayed for 6 nights) and the hotel has lots to do. They were renovating the indoor playroom during our stay and with that it will be even better.

Fantastic stay. Great food, great drinks, amazing buffet, rooms really clean. Great gym, pools and great beach. The only things I’d improve would be around reservations for a large group - we were in a group of 11 and we were initially separated across multiple buildings within the complex, and we were asked to provide menu choices a week in advance for the three à la carte restaurants which were changed multiple times by the hotel and we found we spent days back and forth with the hotel on food choices.

My partner and I could not be happier with our stay at the Ella Helea hotell. The staff was so nice, the buffet was amazing, and the overall experience was a 10/10. However, it is a «kids hotell» so if you are traveling with your partner like we were, be prepared for alot of kids running around. If you’d prefere a calmer stay, id recommend booking the Ella Elissa Hotel, considering it’s an adults only hotel.

I will start with the pros: Hotel was clean, deluxe sea view room was lovely with the most perfect view. The food was good for an all inclusive. The Filipino and African staff were lovely. There were no sun-bed wars we always managed to get a sun-bed either by pool or beach after 10am. Cons: The food was nice but it was never warm enough. The Greek staff were rude/unfriendly we found this mostly at the Lobby bar and buffet restaurant, the pool bar staff were not rude but also not happy! The entertainment was awful! And timings were bad. After 10pm there is literally nothing! I’ve never seen so many people playing cards at a 5 star hotel. This hotel is mostly catered for families with young children who want early nights. There is nothing much going on in the day, I think there could be more things in main pool the days the DJ played just made the vibe a bit better. The sun-beds on the beach were basic, the adults only had nice cushioned sun beds as did the hotel next door. The adults only also has a drinks service to your bed…both classed as 5 star so to be it should be the same service to both hotels. Did I have a nice stay: yes, would I come back: no. Not 5* in my opinion.

A great resort, I would say it’s more of a 4 star and definitely focused on families. I believe it is too big to maintain a 5 star standard, as it missed the finesse that others show, more because of its struggles to cope with a large number of guests. The location is amazing, close to old town and all the bays. Swim up pool is good, the vent for the sewage was near ours, so you would get a whiff and I noticed some of the other swim up rooms didn’t even get the sun. I could have complained, but the hotel was that full, I couldn’t see what they would be able to do to fix this. The buffet was ok, nothing that stands out though, felt that the a la cartes were just the buffet plated up by someone else. The street food hub was ok but they always got the order wrong, so something to be aware of. A small thing, but how you judge a hotel quite quickly, no welcome drink and checking in felt more like a factory process. So if you are after a true 5 star experience, then maybe not, if you don’t like hearing kids, then maybe not but if you are after a high end 4 star in a great location and you have kids, then yes (if you get a good deal and not 5 star prices).

Generally the hotel and location was very good, especially for smaller families. As a small family with an older child, we found it wasn’t as suited to our needs with less areas of quiet. The pool was packed out every day with families and small children taking over all of the areas, it would’ve been good for there to be a quieter area. It was also disappointing that you could only use the à la carte restaurants a couple of times during our stay, the ramen restaurant was the best - the others, wern’t too special. The general buffet restaurant was fairly good with a lot of variety as well as local foods. The drinks range was good and the bar stuff were quick and friendly. We would normally get an upgrade due to our Expedia level but were told this wasn’t possible, as a result we were in a normal room with a sofa bed which was quite tiny in comparison to other hotels we’ve shared a room for within the area. The sofa bed itself was also of bad quality and kept falling apart.

This is not an all-inclusive resort, it is semi-inclusive. You are limited to two restaurants although there are seven of them and once you use up your reservations you must eat at the buffet restaurant. Further, room service is not included (unless you count the water and few cans of soft drinks that they may refill daily). The Greek staff is generally rude and not willing to help, that being said the foreigners are much friendlier and assist whenever you ask. Overall, the resort was okay not the best but not bad. The spa services were nice and the two restaurants we were allowed to try had okay food essentially what you would expect in a hotel restaurant.
