Cozy lakefront chalet with cedar hot tub + stunning lake views

"Host was great and cabin was as appeared in pictures. Overall had a nice time. You cannot swim ar this property however as it is all muck by the shore and out a long way into the lake. Need to go to other points to find nice sand for kids to enjoy. No A/C so beware if it is hot this place does not cool down. It was clearly noted so our choice but make sure weather is not to hot when you go."

Cozy Cabin on Blackwater Lake near Longville, MN

"The cabin was everything we needed to enjoy the stay. There was no tv channels on the tv but there was movie cds and the tv was was connected to a cd player and we did watch a few of them but at this time of year it was to nice and there was a fire ring and a stack of wood and there were binoculars to watch fishermen also a canoe or paddle boards and there were weed beds but the lake water was clear and lake bed was sandy no mud in our area. The area is scenic and the deck on the backside of the cabin was a great place for viewing the area. We like to travel the area and go places with a lot of nature and this area had that plus there were alot of towns and cities to investigate. To my wife and I the stay was great and well worth the drive and money. If you like this sort of vacation with your family then I would recommend staying there. There is fun for everyone with a little imagination and for the ones who don’t like that sort of thing the beds are comfortable and the deck chairs will keep you interested in the scenery and your phone. The host will help you with anything you want to know they were always available when we had questions. Enjoy"

"Property is a mixed bag. Good things are REALLY good. Great pool, access to lake for paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing, etc, clean, private, big common area, and 2 large refrigerators. Host responded to all of my queries promptly. Based on those things our family had a great time. However when we arrived at 4:00 PM on our first night, the thermostat said 83. We checked to make sure cool air was coming through vents and we had trouble finding vents. The house has been built piece-meal and that appears to be part of the problem. The air-conditioning, as is, does not keep the house cool. It was working, because in the middle of the night it would cool down to 75 or so, but during the day we couldn’t get it any cooler than 81 which made for a stifling experience indoors. One of our family members is the chief engineer at a Weston Hotel. He did not see any point to calling, because it’s the set up not that it wasn’t working. Issue two was the place needs some repair. The major couch is obviously broken, and it has been reviewed as such but not taken care of. Wood chairs outside have cracked slats and are dangerous for people to sit on. Furniture needs painting. Also, some very quirky things like shower heads that come up to your chest and bathrooms you walk through closets to access. Check your bill carefully. We were initially overcharged 200 for early arr./late dep. Luckily we caught it, then we requested it. We were declined and promptly asked for refund, which we received."

"Rooms are dated, but clean and comfortable, everything you need. Restaurant has tasty food and friendly staff, an early breakfast option would be nice for those people who want a bite before going to work on the fish bite. Boat launch is usable but needs some work especially for loading boats."

"Great property and beautiful setting. Very clean and great dock to keep your boat during your stay. 10min from Longville and George was quick to answer any questions. Would stay there again for sure......"

"We had a great 4th here! Cabin was clean and had everything we needed. Fantastic firework show on the lake as well! Fishing was great and plenty of ways to get out on the water despite their not being public boat access! We have zero complaints!"
