"We highly recommend Hemingway Retreat and we will definitely be staying here again. The cottage is clean, cosy, comfortable and has a nice ambiance. Caitlin has provided some snacks, sodas and water as well as a Keuring coffee maker and a variety of coffee. The property is quiet and is only a short walk to town, (sidewalks all of the way) which during the busy season alleviates trying to find parking. Walking at night felt very safe. Caitlin and Chris met us upon our arrival and were helpful...

"Charming, quiet, walkable distances to sights of Mystic Downtown and Seaport museum. Kayaks are a plus! Easily launched into Mystic River one-half block from rental. Plenty of room with well laid out floor plan - includes washer and dryer which came in handy. Highly recommended to stay here. Owners responded quickly to inquiries. Would stay here again when in the area. "

"My husband and I were so pleased with this charming place. The first thing I noticed when we opened the door, was a fresh smell and then the charm of the place. Location is a short walk from the aquarium (which we highly recommend), and a short drive to other area things to do. Go and enjoy this place! We will be back for another visit! "

"We comfortably fit 6 of us at this place and it was so great! The parking was a huge plus, we were able to fit 4 cars, not sure if that’s always the case, but it was awesome! Space was clean, spacious and great location! Would definitely stay again! "

"Overall, it was very nice. The communication from the host on getting in an hour early and how the tv worked could have been better. I think having more than 2 towels and one face cloth per room was a little light. There was also no shampoo, conditioner bath soap. For $1000/night that could have been provided."

"This was a great spot for us to stay during our vacation to Connecticut and Rhode Island. We've never stayed at a house with a pool table before, so that was a real treat. We enjoyed sitting on the the balcony for the beautiful views of the river and to watch the meteor shower. Be sure to visit the Harp and Dragon Pub nearby for dinner. Mike, the owner, recommended it and the food was excellent. Great memories of our trip!"
