This was a great place to stay. Fantastic views of Richmond and the surrounding country side and the same time an easy walk into the centre. Very dog friendly and good dog walks from the doorstep. Bedrooms were big and everything very clean and in good condition. Food really well cooked.

Holly Hill Inn

The room was spacious and comfortable. There was a charge for a cooked breakfast but was well worth it. The cold breakfast was included in the price. Pet friendly and will definitely stay here again.

The outdoor fenced off area was fantastic for our dog to have a runaround. Also the evening meal we had in the pub was excellent quality and reasonably priced too, the breakfast was also very nice and plenty of it. The staff were all very pleasant and easy to talk to. Overall we had a lovely stay, and we would recommend to friends and family.

Heerlijk stil slapen. Schone ruime kamer. Gedateerd maar schoon. Badkamer oud. Wel een goede douche. Echt een herberg. Enkele kamers, weinig gasten. Lekker stil slapen. We enjoyed our stay at Holly Hill Inn, the room was quiet, clean and comfortable. The view from our room was nice as we could see horses in the field and an overview of Richmond. The owner was very friendly. It is a in a good position to visit Richmond - a 10 to 15 minute walk downhill and obviously uphill on the way back! There was a slight problem regarding breakfast as we had booked our stay including breakfast. We assumed this would be a traditional cooked one, however on arrival we were informed that we had to pay more if we wanted a cooked breakfast. This should be made clearer on the booking site, especially as the reviews mention the "cooked to order" food.

large room and shower room, large bed, clean. lovely view over Richmond. However, shower room tired and needs refurb, the view is marred by old bits of wood and rubbish on the path outside the window. The surrounding gardens and access path need clearing of discarded equipment, and general rubbish.

Wonderful welcome and lovely staff team. Lovely comfy clean bed but rest of room and stairwell dusty and a few cobwebs in corners. Food delicious, home cooking. Staff friendly.

Good experience marred by a few things

The Holly Inn is a beautiful place. Atmosphère and staff friendly and helpful… phone first if you need to eat ! Room was clean beds ok and sheets although pillow had a blood stain( droplet on it) Although I paid for better room was given a cheaper one upstairs. Here the room smelt of fried cooking and bathroom whilst clean was old and mouldy in the corners .. water from shower good. I would stay in this room again at the cheaper rate. Not full . Lovely garden for dog and our furry friends welcomed by all . Breakfast good although my bacon was inedible as hard. I think it’s worth noting ownership has changed in last month or so which may have an influence , could be so much better it has the makings of……

Nice stay in a great location

Great location , stunning views , friendly place , nice food Room 3 , did not spoil trip but mattresses felt a bit basic and oddly whilst hot water to basin taps , could not get the shower hot . So evening and morning tepid quick shower . Maybe my error or problem with shower
