"The home was comfortable and provided a great vacation hub for the 4-5 days we stayed in KC area. Centrally located to historical areas like Liberty, Independence, and Far West. The only thing we wish the property had was laundry facilities. For a short stay not a problem, but for longer it was unfortunate we had to go sit at a laundry mat for several hours on our vacation...never seen a house without laundry. "Pros: House is awesome and has everything you need. Quiet neighborhood and backs up to the woods. Cons: Ants and spiders inside and out. Patio door and one of the garage doors weren't functional. Host responded a technician would be out but they never showed."

"The Hughes House is a very welcoming & homey place to stay. Quiet neighborhood & 2 minutes from Quilt Town. Plenty of restaurants in the area for meals & grocery store as well. The hosts communicated quickly to any questions we had & made us feel at home. Very clean as well. We would stay again."

"Our family of 24 stayed here to celebrate our mom’s birthday. It was just perfect. Everyone had their own bed. The house and Barndo had everything we needed. The pickleball court is a great addition!! Owner is great to work with. "

"We were in town for a family funeral and the house was the perfect size for our 3 adult children. "

"This is a very quaint farmhouse, on a rustic property. The extensive renovation inside is very well-done but is definitely a work in progress. The surrounding yard, porch, etc. needs considerable attention. We did not explore the grounds. Beware, the pet and cleaning fees will just about double the cost of your stay. Great place for a family group. "
