Welcome to The Log House! This dog friendly, gorgeous, h2,634 sq foot home sits on 5 private forested acres in Ridgefield Washington. Near many wineries, hiking, and ilani Casino. There is a gaming area with lots of board games and puzzles! The property has many areas to explore, game, and sit with coffee and a good book. The Log House is in the (close in) country. We have five acres and so do all the neighbors. Many of the neighbors have working farms with farm animals, like chickens and horses. We are only 10 to 15 minutes from wineries, hiking, kayaking, golf, horseback riding, shopping, and ilani casino.
Guests are welcomed by a circular driveway with parking. Upon first arriving and walking through the front door, you will be stunned by the beauty of this very unique home. Inside you will find room to spread out and relax, a jaw-dropping floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace, and a wall-to-wall windowed view overlooking the home’s private forest on the back of the property.
Off the living room, the master bedroom is on the ground floor with a King size bed, 65” TV, and has views of the forest and a deck. The master bathroom has a shower and a separate jacuzzi bathtub.
Upstairs in the loft that overlooks the living room, there is a second King size bed, desk with workspace, and 42" TV. All TVs have Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Youtube.
The main floor has an open floor plan. The dining room has an oversized dining table and a queen-sized murphy bed. In the living room, there is a Queen size pull-out bed that is very comfortable and sits in front of a 25-foot high lodge style stone fireplace.
Next to the living room is the gaming area, with a table, many board games and puzzles!
Large kitchen with island.
Blazing high-speed wifi internet.
Hot tub on the back deck!
The private forest offers hiking, places to explore, chairs to sit and hang out, and swings for the kids. There is even a small tree house hiding. Bring waterproof/mudproof boots if you plan on exploring the property when it’s wet.
Perfect size for just a couple to have a romantic night and enough room for groups up to eight to spread out comfortably.
The Log House comes fully decorated for Christmas all of December! This includes a 10 foot Christmas tree!
Guests have private access to the entire house and property, with the exception of the private driveway that leads to the private attached apartment. I will probably greet you when you arrive, but unless you need my assistance, you probably won't see me after that. I live in the attached private apartment part-time and I'm mostly not home during the day. I also travel quite often for work, but there will always be someone available to assist you if you need help with something.
Because this is our personal home as well, we do not rent it out for longer than two weeks at a time.

We came out to attend our nephew’s wedding. A great place to relax and unwind in the middle of the festivities. We particularly loved the juke box and the hot tub. Lots of fun stuff to look at in and around the cabin.
Very nice cabin, close to everything but a quiet location that was very relaxing. Appreciated that pets were allowed and the kids wnjoyed exploring all of the eclectic items in the gouse. Appreciated the firewood for fires and marshmallows! Loved having games and puzzles avail. Very calm weekend, definitely what we needed. Thank you for making the weekend so easy!!
Our family really enjoyed our time here. The property has so much to offer. We enjoyed exploring the backyard. Different little trails with lots of surprises along the way. The beds were very comfortable. Tons of games but one of our favorite things was the jukebox. We couldn’t get enough of it!
Log cabin did not disappoint.. in fact it exceeded my expectations by far! Super relaxing but fun vibes with the fireplace and hot tub, the games, drums and juke box it was a great time shared with my family 😊
We had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the property. Lots of fun games and activities to do. Very quiet, and in a nice area. Lots of laughs and great memories. I would definitely recommend this place for friends, family and children alike.
The cabin is beautiful, really well-appointed, decorated and maintained, and has an amazing, really special set of forest paths behind the cabin. The jukebox, BBQ on the deck and hot tub were particular highlights. Ethan was a wonderful, super-responsive host.
This Log Cabin was absolutely perfect! Enjoy your own private forest behind your Log Cabin surrounded by trees. Plenty of outdoor living space and great areas all over the property to gather and relax. We really enjoyed our stay. Our only hesitation to booking this location again is there is only one shower. Small close nit groups would be fine, any more than 4 people and I wouldn't rent.

Spent a fun weekend with friends. Home is well maintained and decorated. Plenty of linens and fully functional kitchen. The games and juke box are great fun. Hot tub worked perfectly and walking through the forest was relaxing. Look for both parts of the squirrel decorations on the walls inside! Will definitely book her again.
What a fantastic home and property. So many interesting quirks and features that truly make for a fun and unique experience. It was rainy and cold both days we were there so we didn’t spend too much time outside, but a brief walk through the woods made me want to return during better weather. The home had plenty of games to keep the kids and adults happy indoors. Host was 10/10. Highly recommend. Would stay here again without reservation.
We stayed three nights. Our kids are 15, 14, 10, & 9. Every single one of us could t have been happier with this house. So many surprises and treats. So much thought put into it. We will go back for sure. We live in Kansas. The forest and the property were beautiful. Can’t recommend enough. Make sure you explore the woods! Master bed was super comfortable. Property was peaceful and quiet. Loved it!
Had something for everyone: my elderly parents, my husband and I, my teenagers, and my 3 year old daughter. I really wish there was another full bathroom (trying to share one shower amongst all of us was a little tricky but we made it work). Other than that, this log cabin was a perfect place for bonding and relaxing together as a family. My teenagers liked exploring in the backyard, my daughter loved banging on the drums, and my parents liked playing the juke box. Thank you Ethan!

Wasn’t ready at checkin, which made our evening and next very challenging.
What a fun property! Ethan is a great host and has really created a property to explore. The trails through the woods are great and there are endless ways to relax and enjoy. Everything was clean and welcoming. Great proximity to just about anything you would like to see and do in the Portland/Vancouver area.
Relaxing week for High School Graduation, Birthday and Fathers Day all wrapped in one stay.
Quiet and remote, but town is just minutes away.
You won't be disappointed.
We will be back, thanks for the stay...
Everything Ethan has setup is pristine. The house, the location, the forest, backyard, hot tub, rooms, etc... We couldn't rave more about the experience and how the home brought us as a family closer. His communication, willingness to go above and beyond, and helpfulness was bar none. I hope everyone gets a chance to come and stay at The Log House. Thanks a million Ethan.
