The suite was a spacious 45sqm - perfect with a young child. It was modern and appealing. Location was in walking distance to old town and surrounded by cafes and shops. The breakfast was niche but delicious.

We’ve been staying at Begs Hotel for the fifth time over the past 2 years, with each stay lasting at least a week. Previously, we were given a good-sized room with three wardrobes, giving enough storage space for 2 people staying for a week. The rooms we had previously stayed in had also been recently renovated. This time, however, we were given a smaller room with only 1 wardrobe, and it hadn’t seem to be renovated. As we were staying for a week again, having enough storage space was crucial to us, and based on our previous experiences, it was reasonable to expect a similar room. I spoke to a member of staff, explained that we were staying for a week and simply couldn’t fit all our clothes into 1 wardrobe, and asked whether it would be possible to change rooms. She told me there were no rooms available for the entire week, so it was a no. It’s important to note that the hotel wasn’t fully occupied at the time, so they could still have moved us to a different room. This was particularly disappointing, considering that many of their studio rooms are larger, so we were just ‘lucky’ enough to get a smaller one. Also, our room was located next to a service lift, and we could hear the noise of trolleys in the mornings. We had experienced issues with the cleaning during our stay in July, but we still decided to give it another chance, hoping that it had been a misunderstanding. Unfortunately, this time we’ve realised that loyal guests are not particularly valued by the hotel.

Excellent place to stay.

Excellent place to stay, rooms were very big and very clean. Receptionist was very good and explained everything very clearly. Good location too, we took a nice walk through the park tot eh old town.

That was so nice and amazing hotel. Its gonna be one of my favorite, for sure. Rooms are large and spacious. Very clean. You have everything you need: porslin, iron. Personal was amazing, Karina could speak several languages and was very client oriented. The place is in the heart of everything, just outside several good bar, cafe and restaurants. 10 mins walking to latvians opera house, 11 mins walking to kempinski spa and about 6-8 mins walking to a big shopping center. I will be back soon. Highly recommended

Very beautiful restored historic building in quiet courtyard with restaurants and coffee shop right outside. Very comfortable spacious rooms well fitted and great view into courtyard. Friendly efficient and helpful staff. Responded immediately if asked for something. When we return to Riga we will definitely stay there again.

We stayed here in 2016. It was a top luxury boutique hotel. It has changed. In my opinion, it is now a good, but ordinary, upscale suite hotel. The Champagne and caviar breakfasts are gone, replaced by a poorly staffed buffet. The outstanding service is replaced with good, but ordinary service.
