"This hotel was outstanding. The front desk person in the evening was extremely helpful, accommodating and very friendly. Helped us choose the best room because I am disabled. This was an unplanned stop and we walked in too a beautifully decorated hotel with very elegant choices for Christmas. The beds were extremely comfortable, breakfast was great and the room was clean. Would definitely stay here again! "

"A beautiful location and a very comfortable house, great for our family with two little kids. Just a couple hours from the DMV, but a world away for beauty and relaxation in Virginia. We discovered the terrific Shenandoah River State Park just 15 minutes away. Host is great communicator, everything went smoothly."

"My husband and children raved about this hotel. The grounds are beautiful. The room was spacious for a family of 5, and staff was welcoming. We asked for a roll away bed and extra towels. After eating at the restaurant, which was also fantastic, we found both requests in our room waiting. I’d definitely come back to this hotel. It updated and the service is excellent."

"This cabin is absolutely beautiful, cozy, and rustic, but with ALL the modern conveniences and additions you could ever want! It is sparkling clean, beautifully appointed, and has a full kitchen, warm electric fireplace, big jacuzzi tub in the Master, a screen porch AND open deck, a great hot tub, and gorgeous river front property just a lovely 3 minute walk away. We wanted a quiet, pet-friendly escape for our holiday, and this was the perfect place. I highly recommend Bear Timbers and would love to return! "

"My wife and I had a great stay at Star View Cabin – Riverfront. It was just what we were looking for. The cabin had awesome views of the mountains and the Shenandoah River. We enjoyed watching sunsets and viewing the bright stars from the night sky from the hot tub. We enjoyed walking down to the river each day and we saw many animals, deer, eagles, rabbits. One night we had three deer within 20 yards of us in the back yard and we watched them from the spacious windows and sliding glass door above for close to fifteen minutes. We also got to catch a brief snow storm with the mountains as a backdrop. The cabin was nice and warm and had a good layout. We enjoyed running the fireplace each night before bed and the bed was very comfortable. We were able to get out and do some antiquing at local shops Nina was a great host and she was able to answer our questions and she had thought about all of our needs before we got there. Thank you for a great stay. We will be back."
