Welcome to Solitude! A cabin in the woods that was designed to bring the natural world into the comfort of the interior. Located on 3 wooded acres, in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley, Solitude embodies the essence of simple living.

LINENS ARE ONLY PROVIDE BY REQUEST: If you would like us to provide linens (Queen sheets and bath towels) there is an additional fee of $50.
Pets must be crated if left unattended in the cabin. Pets are not allowed on any of the furniture. Pet hair must be vacuumed when you check out.
Our staff work hard to provide you with a clean cabin. To keep our cleaning fees low, please help us out by leaving the cabin as you found it.

Perfect retreat

We loved our stay here. It was perfect for a quiet retreat for my wife and I. The house and amenities were super clean and we especially loved the hot tub. Definitely recommend.

Amazing getaway

The house was secluded, clean and had everything we needed. Our pup loved being able to run and play. The fire pit was a nice touch to sit and watch the stars. It was an amazing stay.

Wonderful Getaway!

This is a perfect house in the woods for a couple or to get away by yourself. We took a much needed break from home and the office to go and loved the experience - like qe were the only people around! Cozy, comfortable, and just what we needed.

Summer vacation

Thanksgiving Get Away

We've been using VRBO for years and this property was HANDS DOWN the nicest we've ever stayed at. It was true to the pics. It was extremely clean and well appointed. The hot tub and fire pit were terrific. The winter mountain view thru the trees was breathtaking. It is the perfect spot for a romantic mountain getaway.

A beautiful property that is exactly as depicted. My husband and I stayed with our dog for a week away. It is quiet but not far from plenty of hiking options and the town. The cabin was clean and very welcoming. I would stay there again.

We had a wonderful stay. Great location close to Luray Caverns, Shenandoah National Park and the Hawk's Bill Greenway through the charming town of Luray. Slight issue with gas logs and dryer were quickly resolved by Derrick.

Tranquility and Solitude

I booked this cabin for a long weekend getaway to attend a wedding with my boyfriend. This cabin is a short drive to Luray, and Shenandoah River State Park. The property is private, and quiet. We enjoyed decompressing in the hot tub and sounds of nature. We would love to return in the future!

Very quiet and secluded! Lots of wildlife!

Our stay was very relaxed, the property is in a nice location, nestled in the woods, with a nice amount of lawn in the front. We enjoyed the wildlife, and explored Luray caverns and some of the Shenandoah mountains. The cabin is very simple, but sufficient, and has essentials, although a cabinet somewhere would have been convenient. Thank you for making our great week possible, it was a blessing!

Such a beautiful little spot.

We had a great time at this clean, well-located cottage in the woods. The view from the hot tub is great! Highly recommend Luray caverns. Food places around the cabin are scarce but Ostela Marie (spelling?) 25-30 min away blew us away! Well worth the drive and such a great restaurant that would deceive you with its looks. The cabin is named correctly!

Nice place to get away!

The property was exactly as described. The place was clean and well maintained. I had a small hag up witht the detectors going off. It was resolved quickly. This was my 1st stay with a vrbo. I was super happy. I would recommend this place to anyone.
