"We really enjoyed our two night stay. Our courtyard room was lovely, spacious, very quiet and in great condition. The hotel is a lovely space, great design and as a family run venue it is a credit to everyone. Clearly the use of natural wood and eco energy is a great example to others in the tourism business. The grounds were well kept and breakfast was delicious. A wonderful experience all round."

"This hotel is excellent for cyclists and walkers with great facilities for both including dog friendly hotel, but if you’re not either of those then the hotel is just as great too. We were on a business trip and I have stayed here before for a just a night and this was the reason we stayed again. Friendly staff, mini bar in the room, free water, tea, and a coffee machine was a nice touch. The independent Italian restaurant has Bareca was reasonably priced and also with friendly staff in my opinion was very nice. "

"All Staff were so welcoming and engaging with the guests. Lin on reception was particularly fabulous! Breakfast was a buffet style- cooked and continental- unlimited drinks- all freshly cooked and hot! Views from the dining room looked out over the bay! Nice and central to explore North Yorkshire! Comfortable room with good facilities, some areas are being redecorated which could be seen but didn’t affect our stay at all! Thank you "

"This guest house is one of the cleanest properties I have stayed in. Rooms are compact, but comfortable. The shared bathroom isn’t really shared as a lot of the rooms have en-suite, so don’t let it put you off if that is the only room available. The towels provided are thick and fluffy. Deania the host is very welcoming and will make sure you are happy. "

Dinner was superb — beautifully presented with outstanding flavours — and followed by a surprise delivery of celebratory truffles. Serendipity offered direct poolside access via a private staircase, allowing us to step straight out into the sunshine for a relaxing afternoon with cocktails — the Hugo Spritz was a standout. Every member of staff we encountered was warm, professional, and attentive, and the spa provided just the right atmosphere to unwind. The personal touches really made us feel celebrated, and it’s clear the team takes genuine pride in the guest experience.
