Bad wifi, a bit outdated and old sheets and comfort. Charged extra for luggage storage on checkout day. Affordable even tho the street was a bit sketchy. Next time I would pick iPanama area which I heard and felt is more safer!

What I will say about the Royalty Copacabana is that the staff was very nice to me. I also like the location. I happened to get a room overlooking the mountain which was gorgeous. Additionally, the continental breakfast was generous. What I did not like was that there were roaches (and not the tropical roaches that cannot be avoided). Additionally, the Wi-Fi was almost inoperable which was scary because I had work to do. Additionally, the room finishes are quite outdated, with limited sockets and no usb ports. The fitness center was not accessible during my stay.

- Guests must be aware: - there is no room service and soap property; - staff are rude about room service. I also had a big problem there. On my check out a staff member told my partner and I ...that on the check in. They did charge less and we had to fix there mistake (this was after 3 days that we where there). I didnt accept his mistake... was there problem. Sorry! I had an international fight and if they had made a mistake... is because the staff has no training or attention. Be aware of this hotel service. I really dont recommend. - no room service; - staff are rude; - payment in a wrong way.

Hotel entrance was nice but once we got to the room it was dirty and filthy! There were 2 cockroaches but when we contacted the stuff they said it was normal. The shower were dirty and I didn’t want to step a foot inside we were scared of fungus and contagious deseases. They didn’t provided a charged due to the outlets are different, they refused a late check out, they charged us money to keep the luggage’s for a late pick up, overall an awful experience and I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

Totally horrible from the beginning to the end. The room was bad smelling and badly cleaned. The toilet was not flushing and we had to live with this for 2 days. The staff was very ignorant and not serviceminded at all. Not resolving the toilet issue.The breakfast was very bad and the foid was cold.Charging extra for safe and early check in of 200rs. Cannot recommend this hotel for anyone.

Cockroaches ! Con’s- This is an awful property- don’t get conned by the facade or entrance ! Staff unhelpful - ask anything “ wait for manager who starts work at 09:00-can’t help you “ don’t care if your tour starts before , Holes in the wall 2ft hole exposed to out behind loud air conditioner, toilet -> You can hear others & inappropriate sounds coming thro as top ceiling of the toilet is a grill - not sure if others can actually see you !! Hear people all the time / plus bedroom wall paper thin- hear phones ringing next door !- Privacy ? No coffee in room or kettle Little or no proper charging unit in room They ring you incessantly 1/2 hour before check out time. Old building Probably ideal for 1 level above back packer hostel. Pros - Close to Beach Small pool on floor 14( not 13) 3 star breakfast only No - we wouldn’t stay here or recomend it

People at the front desk don’t care about the cuatomer, after a long flight I was ready to get some rest, Front desk don’t do nothing to help out with early check in, there were a lot of ppl waiting to check in, they told us to wait till 3pm, We waited, but by the time was 3pm there were 2 guests that arrive that time, and rhey get their rooms before all the people that were waiting for more than 2 hours. My room wasn’t ready because they’re “cleaning it “ when I get to the room bathroom dirty, I found other people hair in the sink, shower was leaking, glassdoor was with water, I stepped out next day, I came back to the room it wasn’t cleaned, I saw the lady on my floor, I went down to the lobby, almost 2 hours down there, I went up again, my room was still not cleaned, I called the front desk to get some towels, soap and shampoo, I told them not to clean anymore, I needed some rest.

Roaches everywhere! I never been in a hotel that had roaches crawling on the bed at night ! Crawling from the mirror and the backboard by the bed area ! It was extremely hard to sleep there knowing this was an issue. I stood there for two days and when me and my guest brought this up to the front desk clerk, they made an excuse talking about they are surrounded by trees! They gave us roach spray that was half way empty! They refused to get us some credit or to even have a person look into the problem. The pool look dirty , you could have barely see the bottom of it … the gym isn’t even working .. the equipment was broken! In all my hotel experiences this was far from the worst treatment I’ve experienced… and if you book here just be ready to sleep with roaches crawling in your luggages.

Hotel razoável, sem luxos. Quando chegamos o quarto não estava tão limpo, havia pedaços de tinta da parede caídos no chão. As toalhas e lencois muito velhos. Pagamos 250 reais para entrar antes do horario do checkin. No hora do checkout o atendente disse que o valor estava errado. Que era 300,00 e nos cobrou mais 50,00. Café da manhã bom.

Fiquei durante o período do Carnaval com amigos. Para esse tipo de viagem foi uma boa opção, perto de tudo e com um preço bom para o período. Porém, para outros tipos de viagem é um hotel que precisa de manutenção/renovação (nosso chuveiro não esquentava por 3 dias e nem fechava direito e a porta também precisava bater muito forte para fechar), e o café da manhã é quase intragável. O leite e o suco eram extremamente aguadao, o pão murcho, o ovo sem gosto...enfim, tudo era feito de uma forma que parecia ser feito exclusivamente para render.

Pior experiência de hospitalidade da minha vida

O hotel tem recepção com funcionário da noite absurdamente mal educado. O ar condicionado deve ter 40 anos e fazia barulho como um motor a diesel. Era tão barulhento que eu precisava ligar ele no máximo por algumas horas para desligar na hora de dormir. Era impossivel assistir a um filme sem headphones, tamanho o barulho do quarto. O banheiro tinha vazamentos na pia e no box. O hotel não forneceu nem talher quando eu pedi delivery de comida.Tive que comer com a mão porque se recusaram a me emprestar garfo e faca (mesmo tendo um restaurante dentro do hotel). Uma amiga minha ficou sem hotel em pleno carnaval e eu ofereci dela ficar comigo. Mesmo pagando a diferença da diária de R$400, acordei às 6h com um segurança na porta mandando ela embora, sem qualquer espaço para conversa, como se fosse uma criminosa. E eu paguei pela estadia dela. Nunca fui tão mal tratado na minha vida dentro de um hotel. Eu JAMAIS ficaria hospedado nesse lugar novamente. Tudo muito velho e equipe da pior qualidade.

Péssima experiência! Pior hotel da vida. Quarto e banheiro cheios de barata, hall do elevador tbm! Trocaram meu quarto e o problema continuou. Pedi a resolução do problema na recepção e fui informado que no RJ é super comum por conta do calor.
