Good meal at nearby restaurant, though it was not the Denny's near the casino. Owner Flor is excellent. Very welcoming and helpful. We would stay there again if and when we return to Costa Rica.

"Bare bones, but the room was clean and the bed comfortable. There was bottled water in the room and a hot shower (which in Costa Rica is not always a given). I was pleased, too, that they did come pick me up at the airport even though my plane arrived after stated shuttle hours."

Rio Segundo is alright. Nothing wrong with the area at all. Good place to look into Costa Rican history. I'm just not much of a city person myself.

We spent two nights in Rio Segundo, when we first arrived in Costa Rica, and again, as we were leaving. Because of its proximity to the SJO Airport, Rio Segundo is a great jumping off spot for visiting the rest of the country.

Close to airport. Nearby casino was really odd. Only let you bet max bet. Only way to fix it was get small denominations, then go ahead and max bet. After that you can repeat bet,
