There's a club nearby so can be noisy until around 2am. A few details missing perhaps. We stayed in the Annex - nice environment in lemon grove but pool is at main buildings a short drive away - not an easy walk - narrow road with traffic.

In a pretty lemon farm with a nice pool and view of Mt Etna. However a long way from town which was pretty down at heel. No opening windows for fresh air so either open the door or sleep in A/c. Little niceties missing eg water glass in room, no new water supplied, nowhere for toiletries to be stowed in bathroom. Had to ask for things that should be there. Dining facilities and menu and wine list good. Not up to standard of other Agriturismo places.

Nice hotel. very clean BUT.....
Unfortunately the experience of staying at Galea was badly affected by the fact that we felt conned. We researched extensively for a hotel specifically with views of Mount Etna in a good location, between Catania and Taormina, looking for a relaxing peaceful location yet a real Sicilian experience. Galea's setting is truly stunning surrounded by lemon trees, fantastic views, excellent restaurant and a really gorgeous pool. BUT big problem; our room wasn't actually where the main hotel and grounds were situated. We were off site in their second premises a 1km drive down the road where there are 6 rooms in two buildings. Not that far you might say but when you have saved for your annual holiday, researched like crazy and, on first viewing, think you have found exactly what you were hoping for only to be told, even though you booked that accommodation, you aren't staying there but down the road we were very disappointed indeed and felt cheated. It's wasn't the same going to the pool in the car rather than walking out of your room straight to it as the majority of the other guests were able to or have a meal in the restaurant, without a few glasses of wine, because you have to drive down the road afterwards instead of a short stroll back to your room. Consequently we didn't eat in the restaurant again after the first night. Honestly Galea is a great place but we weren't staying in it! We were excluded from the main event down the road without the leisure facilities .

This agriculturismo is great for families with children and for couples who enjoy quiet and peaceful surroundings.The town of Riposto is nearby if you want to walk around a town at night. The dinners offered at Galea were delicious and the service was kind.

Beautiful surroundings
We enjoyed staying 3 days at Galea in August, the kids loved the pool and play area, and the food was excellent. Being amongst the lemon trees with a great view of Etna was a perfect start to our holiday and we had paid extra to stay up at the main buildings to make it more enjoyable for the kids. Elizabetta was very helpful and all staff were very friendly.

Wonderful stay
Amazing agriturismo surrounded by lemon trees and facing the Etna. Split into 2 sections, hence you need a car ( 1km) to go to the restaurant or to the superb pool. Some rooms are in the same building as the restaurant though. The people there are very friendly and helpful . We spent 4 wonderful days as it is very easy to go to the Etna, Taormina, Acireale, Catania...from there. YOu needn't look for another restaurant for dinner as the restaurant is really good and not very expensive. Breakfast is perfect, rooms were very clean. Children and adults alike loved the place.

Nous avons loger sur un autre site que Galea, Lumia. Tres bien, excellents services, petits déjeuner copieux et goûteux. Repas du soir variés et très bons. Personnel adotable, serviable et disponible. Dommage que la piscine ne soit pas sur place et que nous devions prendre la voiture pour y accéder .
