"I have just returned after a two night stay. They have a wide choice of breakfast and nothing was too much trouble for anyone. I would like to mention John who looked after us really well as we were a large group of ladies. We ate in the restaurant and there is a wide choice of menu. Also I would thoroughly recommend the Sunday roast. The hotel has a lot of character with squeaky floorboards but this all part of its charm"

"We had a very last minute booking, but the staff were very attentive and accommodating. The room was good and spacious, located in the annex, it did not have bath, but we were OK with the shower. The food is good, the breakfast was lovely, however continental part has no porridge and no cheese/charcuterie, just corn and other flakes and bread and jam and some small pastries. Beautiful location, building, good and comfy beds and good service"
