"Nice log cottage sitting on Diana Mountain with a nice view of Bras d’Or Lake. The night skys are fantastic. The cottage is secluded. It is about a 35 minute drive to the nearest store of any kind so if you want to get away from everything it is perfect. Stock up before you go. The cottage has high speed internet and good cell phone reception to keep you in touch with the outside world. If you are planning on taking in a lot of the sights of Cape Breton Island then plan on a lot of driving."

"Beautiful, very peaceful and well equipped property. Kayaking on the lake was fantastic, as was spending time BBQ’ing and relaxing on the deck. The only negative was that, while the master bed was great, the bed on the second bedroom was not. But, as a property at which to disconnect and decompress, it was fantastic. "

"This is a great house, with tons of space. Ample indoor dining and living space was augmented by a pleasant yard. Easy to find, within walking distance of a grocery and coffee stand, across from the famed Red Shoe, this was also a good homebase for visits to west coast beaches (and sunsets) the national park and other island attractions. Host is kind and friendly, as were the neighbors. All in all - a wonderful experience. I hope we can return some day."

"It was exquisite! Immaculately clean, beautifully designed, modern “home” We wish we could have stayed even longer! Each bedroom was spacious with extremely comfortable beds and full sized closets. Lots of storage too. Kitchen fully equipped with full size fridge/stove. Front loading full size washer and dryer if needed. Incredible views from balcony off of kitchen. Host/owner had outstanding communication skills!!!Truly 5 stars! Gorgeous, public sandy beach short drive away- we did not have time to use beach near property as advertised. "

"Excellent service. We did stay there on out way to Cabot trail it was a little out of the way but excellent option for our kids to run around and enjoy the property after being away for over a week and a half. They enjoyed the basketball net, pickle ball court. We also enjoyed a concert at the restaurant that night as an added surprise. Excellent view and clean. "
