The great room with huge fireplace and view of the Blue Ridge is perfect for hanging out in the winder, and the big and well-equipped kitchen is excellent for big family dinners.This time, a big winder storm presented some winter challenges, and the host did a great job of making things right. "Communication with the host was excellent and an early check in was incredibly helpful - the house served its purpose exactly as expected - hosting friends for the weekend with easy access to the countryside of VA."

"Our family found this wonderful place for a fun short family getaway. The obvious draw was the amazing pinball/arcade room which did not disappoint (to beat the high scores will take more than the 2 nights that we booked). We also enjoyed playing games around the kitchen table, watching some "classic" DVDs with our teenagers, and heading to the recreation fields literally adjoining the rear of the property to kick, toss, and catch some balls and discs. "Such a nice getaway! It was quaint and peaceful. We enjoyed coffee by the fire pit on the chilly mornings watching the sun light up the mountainside. Would definitely return!"

"Hideaway cabin was the perfect mountain getaway. My husband and I stayed here with our two dogs and it was so cozy and had everything we needed. The cabin was clean, and had all the essentials for cooking. The views are amazing and we loved using the wood fire stove. We took our dogs to the waterfall hike and they had a blast. Definitely recommend staying here! "
