Just a kinda grimy side of the road hotel. Good for a quick night no frills. Don’t expect much and you won’t be let down.
For a budget hotel, on a budget price, this one is excellent. I stay here often for my work travels, and rooms are always clean and comfortable. Staff at front desk is very friendly.
Our stay was not what we expected, you claimed is a very good place to stay
The service front desk were rude not interest when I told him that the milk was sour for the
Cereal the hotel was very bad outside
Trash everywhere
Not a good experience at all the coffee was like water
I do it recommend this place at all
Just a repeat of every review every time I come here . I just really enjoy this place.
Oh, and the breakfast is always very good and very filling and great coffee!
Upon entry, the room look clean, woke up in the middle of the night. Turned on light. On bureau , Thought it was a House fly, squashed it. It was a cockroach turned on the light seen many scurrying.
Looked on the wall, many little tiny bugs on the wall. Took a picture and enlarge the picture. Many many tiny cockroaches. Left immediately. Absolutely horrified & disgusting !
The property was nice and clean, however the night clerk asked for a $100 incident deposit and gave false information about the card I used was declined, I called my credit card because I knew that was not true to only learned that a charge had been submitted, the clerk then replied that it was a system error on his end and that was ok about the $100.00 other than that the room was nice and clean
Great stay overall! The hotel is quiet and very clean, which made it easy to relax after a long day. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the price was very affordable for what you get. Even though there’s no elevator, everything else more than makes up for it.
This was overall a great little affordable hotel to stay in keeping it under $100. The outside looks a little rundown but the room was great! It was spacious and everything worked. No issues at all and no weird smells or anything. I would stay here again for sure and it’s close to downtown and Elmwood park for going to a show. Thanks guys!
We had a really quick stop here in the middle of an road trip. We arrived at midnight and left early in the morning. This place was perfect for this. Clean, affordable and comfortable, we felt very rested to get back on the road.
Not very close to the old downtown, and like all Econolodge's, a bit run down. Staff was friendly and professional, and we passed a very quiet evening. (Being next to a cemetery probably helped.....:) Room was clean and bed was comfortable!
The hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly. The only complaint I would have is the breakfast selection was lacking. It would have been nice to have a little more. Overall this is a great place for the cost. I would stay here again.
Great experience. Owners were wonderful people. Had a very pleasant day.

There’s never shampoo or conditioner. The refrigerator works only half the time. Usually the outlets are blocked off or broken and the floors are never mopped but 1 staff member is amazing, the sheets are always clean and soft and it’s a decent room and breakfast for a decent price
The Econo Lodge is exceptionally convenient to I-581 and the Berglund Center which is directly across the road. Staff was friendly and the room was nice and clean. They offer a continental breakfast but this property is a no-frills type of accommodation. Still, the location, price point, and convenience make it a great choice when in the downtown Roanoke area. Will certainly stay again.
