Cozy setting & a wonderful view from the rooftop, with a beach club in a quiet & fancy area compare to other beaches. Preferably for people travelling by car, renting a scooter or willing to be isolated; otherwise, restricted mobility. Confy and spacious rooms. Communication by Whatsapp mainly late evening since there is no one at reception at all times. Not recommended to check in on Mondays; limited food options in situ & restricted mobility from / to the beach club late evening & night as well on Mondays. Helpful staff requesting water taxis for guests. Tours available.

Very quiet with excellent dining options. Everything worked including hot water & resort’s tuctucs made it easy to get to and from the resort’s beach club at the water’s edge ~ 400 meters downhill.

The Blue Roatan is an amazing experience. The hotel is quiet and serene, surrounded by a jungle and gardens, with shared lounges, decks and pools. The resort is walkable to the busy beaches if that's what you are looking for. The Blue Roatan Beach club serves delicious drinks and food, and has a beautiful pool and beach area. The staff are awesome and happy to help with anything, such as a tuc tuc, or exursions. There are great restaurants that are easily walkable or water taxi to West Bay or West End. I can ot wait to go back.

Beautiful property- the landscape is unbelievable. Comfortable rooms overlooking the garden and ocean. Restaurant Azul has some of the best food on the island. Would highly recommend.

Manager was very nice, the AC on the original room didn’t work and he changed us to a nicer room after complaining twice. The Nature View room did not have a balcony, as shown in the pictures. It was a very small room. However the second room we were given was very nice with a lot of space and ocean views and a lot more comfortable. Staff were very helpful and attentive. The Beach Club was also very nice although a little far from the rooms. The hotel restaurant Azul disappointed us, we had been there a couple years back and it used to be a lot better. We also had some issues while coordinating the transportation to and from the airport. Don’t expect 5-star quality amenities like extra towels or room service. Location is good, the beach is not that nice but you are just a quick water taxi ride to West Bay or West End. The good thing is that this beach is not as crowded. It is surrounded by other boutique hotels and some of the nicer restaurants in the island. Overall it is a nice and quiet hotel but only worth it if you get one of the larger rooms.

This property is gorgeous and on hilltop surrounded by lush nature. The staff is very nice and the restaurant Azul has great food. Carlos was my waiter during my stay and he is just so nice and his service is great. I was traveling solo and felt this hotel was a bit removed from the action. There is a walking path that gets you to the beach but the walk back is very steep and not suited for everyone. They do offer a tuk tuk service. Overall, I did enjoy having my last 2 days on Roatan to be in a more quiet and zen setting. I feel if you have a car, this is a good option. Great for couples.

We loved the Blue Roatan! Everyone was very friendly and our room was gorgeous. A few things to note; there’s not much room in the guest rooms for your clothes. No drawers to put things away so we had to leave most of our stuff in our suitcase. Also. The pool is VERY small. Like the size of a large hot tub. So that’s something to be aware of too. The beach is a little bit of a walk down the hill and not very swimmable.

Not a four star property. Amenities not as described on Expedia website. NO WATER Pressure in bathroom. Limited hot water.. only a trickle. No beach at property..was half mile away with no guest facilities. The “beach club” mentioned by staff was under construction. Only a small pool on property that was in the shade most of day. Several items not working.. safe in our room, air conditioner broke during our stay, broken handles on drawers, insufficient furniture for guests to store clothing. The menu at restaurant was very limited and was same every day. On property Staff not very helpful & no one there at night. Nite “security” staff spoke no English. Insufficient parking for guest vehicles.

Secluded, Personal, Relaxing Stay

My husband and I had a fantastic two nights stay at Blue Roatan Resort! We wish we could have stayed longer. The complimentary shuttle picked us up at the airport. When we arrived to Blue Roatan, we were greeted by Kenia and Gisele. Kenia gave us a tour and since we got there way before check-in time, they held our bags for us and we were able to explore the resort. It is very secluded, and therefore, so relaxing. There are a lot of different areas to sit and relax. We didn't even make it around to all of them during our stay. There was a complimentary sunset wine and cheese night that was lovely. The restaurant, Azul, is basically part of the resort and the staff there were amazing and accommodating. One night we wanted to relax in the hot tub and the restaurant staff served us our food/drinks right there. They made an effort to learn our names even though we were only there for 2 nights. We had a queen ocean view room and it was lovely. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The towels were SO soft. The chairs on our deck weren't the most comfortable to lounge in, but there were so many other areas that you could sit around the resort, that it wasn't a big deal. The beach area is decent. There are kayaks and lounge chairs. They can arrange for a water taxi down there to get to West End or West Bay. We had such a relaxing time at Blue Roatan. The personal attention, staff friendliness, comfort and seclusion made this the perfect place to stay on Roatan.

From the check-in with reception was horrible. She was unfriendly, did not even greet us or welcome us. Charged our stay incorrectly and had to do a refund and new charge. Asked her about tours and such and she points to a picture with a few things, no info. How to get on a tour or such. We had to pull everything out of her answers were zero. She then wants to put us on a ground floor room on the corner of the building where foot traffic would be going by and could look in the room directly and we had no view, would have needed to keep curtains, blinds down and the room would have become a dark cave. Asked for another room and at first she tried to say the resort was hooked up and it was not. We were the only guests. Then she said give her and hour and she would see what she could do. We went to the onsite bar restaurant and had a drink and we then went back to her at reception and she said she had a different room. This was on the 1st floor and would do for us. We then went back to the bar area and were told the beach restaurant was closing in 20 mins. A Thursday evening and they close at 5:00pm? We were told oh you can eat here at the bar we were sitting and we said no, we had no interest in paying for the expensive facility. No other options except two other hotels

Staff was helpful and friendly. The resort isn’t set up like typical hotels. I was expected a hotel room but ended up with an apartment unit that can sleep 6 people. The unit was nice, comfortable and well maintained. The resort is situated on hills but they offer transportation around the resort to your rooms and restaurants. The food on the resort is good. If you eat at the beach club be prepared to fight the flies for your dinner. The hotel does have docks if you’re taking a water taxi back.
