"This was a wonderful place to stay! We booked the suite and it was the best suite we’ve ever had. Two bathrooms, plus a sink in the living room, two desks and lots of room. The staff were great. Very helpful. Breakfast was ok. The standard fare. Except one morning they also had fresh watermelon slices! What a treat! I would absolutely stay here the next time we are in town."

"Cute cabin with great views of the lake. Our stay was very relaxing. Our favorite things about this property were the deck and the gas fireplace. Views of the lake from inside the cabin were very nice! TV and WiFi worked well for movies and streaming. The only unplanned issue was bringing home our garbage (including dog poop) but thankfully we drove a pick-up truck. I think it is worth noting this policy in the property information so that guests can plan accordingly. "

"The front desk staff was very nice. Housekeepers said hi when passing them in the hallways. Room was clean. The pool and hot tub was up and running. The fitness center is a decent size, I enjoyed my stay there "

"We enjoyed a fantastic stay at Pinecone Retreat. The cabin was immaculate, and extremely well-stocked in terms of cooking, cleaning supplies, etc. I really enjoyed the direct lakefront access and pier for docking my boat. There was absolutely nothing lacking to make our stay thoroughly enjoyable. I'm familiar with the Birchwood area and have stayed on this lake several times in past years, and this is the experience that lived up to my preconceived standards. The owner is a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend this property. We will most certainly return to the Pinecone Retreat in future years."
