Carlton Landing! Meeting House- King bed en suite!

Carlton Landing! Meeting House- King bed en suite!

8/10 Good
"Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This room is exactly that - a room. “En Suite” is a bit generous in that it’s a bedroom with a toilet, sink, and shower. No closet, no full-length mirror - pretty basic. The bed was comfortable, contrary to many of the reviews. The main factor to consider is as others have said: this room is over a cafe. Music starts promptly at 7am, but generally things quieted down around 9pm. It didn’t bother us, but if you’re looking for a quiet getaway - look elsewhere. Others complained about finding the room, but if you come from the parking lot they tell you to use, just go to the right of the building and the door leading to the second floor is right there - not rocket surgery. The WiFi leaves very much to be desired. The SSID we were told to use was sporadically available and may or may not have a landing page to give the provided password. You probably won’t have cell coverage, so you’ll want to be aware of this unless you’re going for that “off the grid” vibe. The location is right in the middle of much of what’s going on in Carlton Landing - there’s far more planned for this community, so we’ll probably return in a year or two when there are more shops/restaurants/etc. Lake Eufala is fantastic, so there’s plenty to do, and the Marina staff were exceptional. One bit of a downer - we were on vacation to celebrate my wife’s birthday, so I asked ahead of time if it was possible to have something nice in the room, like maybe a bottle of wine. The management company for the property replied pretty curtly with basically “not our job.” Some personal touch would be great - even if that meant reaching out to the owners."

"I wish I could give them 50 stars out of 10! The cabin was so comfortable, so cozy, so CLEAN and the hosts thought of every single detail. I think I slept better the last couple of days than I’ve slept in months. I really needed a quiet, peaceful getaway and this was absolutely perfect. I’m making a point to be back every couple of months to just recharge and reset. You will not be disappointed, they maximize every ounce of space, HUGE patio- and again, every single detail was covered. Will be back"
