10/10 Excellent

"Cabin has everything you could possibly need. Be advised the last mile in is a tad rough but what we were looking for. Would recommend you have a capable vehicle, you don’t need 4 wheel drive but don’t show up with a Toyota Camry. Come prepared, this is off the grid. Bring food, and ice in case the unexpected like power outage happens. We unfortunately had a bad storm and lost power for two days. Totally unexpected and not any fault of the owners. These things happen when you’re out there so just be ready for anything. We met and spoke with the owners, great people. It’s a one of a kind spot and highly recommend staying here, you won’t forget it. Wish I was still there walking up the steam."

"Overall, I had a pleasant stay. The parking was safe, convenient, and easy to access, which made coming and going hassle-free. One area that could use some improvement is the breakfast. It would be great to see fresher options, such as bagels from a local bakery, along with hot items like scrambled eggs and bacon. Adding a few more breakfast choices would make the experience much better. The rooms could also benefit from some updates and maintenance. In addition, installing exhaust fans in the bathrooms would help with ventilation and improve overall comfort. Despite these suggestions, I appreciated the convenient parking and enjoyed my stay. With a few improvements, this hotel could provide an even better guest experience."

"We just needed a fair priced place to stay for one night that was close to Day out with Thomas. This hotel fit the bill and had good ratings. There weren’t really any bells or whistles, but it was clean, felt safe, and was quiet. Honestly, it’s a very cutesy hotel overlooking the river, it just needs a bit of tlc to keep up with times. The pool was out of commission, the drink machine was not working, and the internet was down. Safety wise, I feel like updating the room doors and the knobs/ locking mechanisms would be ideal. My two year old was constantly unlocking the doors, and she could just about squeeze between the chain lock if she tried hard enough. I also wished there was a lamp or something in the room, instead of the singular wall light, which was really bright. Lastly, blinds on the front windows or thicker blackout curtains would be better. I didn’t feel 100% with just the thin curtains hanging there. All in all though, I’d stay here again if we were ever back in the area."
