"Breakfast selection loomed good, but no hot food, bacon and eggs were stone cold. Rooms were clean, parking available, trying to find the hotel in the dark was difficult with no iluminated signs"

"Located in the centre of pescina, close to bars and restaurants with easy parking. The room was pleasant with an outlook over the river but overlooked by the apartment blocks. The restaurant is closed (until further notice !!!), however the breakfast was excellent and staff very pleasant. Found a superb restaurant within 15 minutes walk and used it both nights although there are others closer to the hotel and town. Nice hotel to use as a base for visiting the surrounding countyside and beautiful...

"Nice spot for people why like to hike. Quite reroute. Near by village is 10 min by car. Only a few spots to eat. On breakfast only yogurt and cakes with coffee. Coffee is excellent, but it is Italy it suppose to be that way."

Popular and unmissable wakings are to the Rocca di Calascio and to the peak of Gran Sasso. From the Locanda the beautiful village of Santo Stefano is within walking distance and Calascio and Castel del Monte pretty villages are within short drive by car. Food at the Locanda restaurant is great, homemade pasta is highly recommended."

It has great views of the valley and is near Sulmona and just an hour from the beaches in Pescara. There is plenty of space and plenty of beds. Having three bathrooms was great. Mark was very helpful and easy to communicate with leading up to the stay and during the stay. If you want to stay in a roomy place to experience a real Italian village this is it.
