"The host ended up being extremely kind but we never received any communication or confirmation from the host after booking. Our rental was paid in full at the time of booking and we received confirmation from VRBO about our upcoming stay (address, etc) but no response from our host when I sent her a couple different messages. "Sehr netter Vermieter. Hat sich um uns gekümmert und uns auch Tipps für Ausflüge gegeben. Wir hatten eine Terrasse mit schönem Blick in die Ferne. In 2 Minuten ist man im wirklich schönen Ort. Dort gibt es alles, was man braucht. Als Basketball-Spieler sollte man allerdings aufpassen, wenn man durch die Türen geht, da man sich den Kopf stoßen könnte. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt "Sotto la Porta Borea genossen. gab dort Bars, Restaurants und Geschäfte."

"Great hotel 10-20 years ago. Needs upgrades. Air conditioner didn’t wor well, hot tub wasn’t hot, pool was closed in the afternoons. Rooms were clean and good but amenities lacking for a 4 star."

"Reviews are unfair here. This is a very cheap hotel and you get what you pay for. The good: Excellent private beach in front, lovely sunloungers free to use and the beach is truly stunning. The hotel is very clean - you can smell the cleanliness in the sheets and everything is polished well. Breakfast is basic but functional. I put it in the "good" because I'm not expecting anything amazing for such a cheap hotel. The bad: Everything in my room was broken, broken shelves, broken safe, broken hair dryer, broken tap (worked but they had sellotaped it from falling apart), broken shower head (the shower still worked but couldn't adjust height). The building needs a desperate renovation. Some staff seem very uninterested. No pool. Bed too soft so a bit uncomfortable. All in all I can't complain. Considering this was the cheapest beach hotel I could find in all of Europe during bank holiday when everything is so expensive... It did the job and at least everything was clean."
