"My stay here on a recent business trip was excellent value for money. I paid a little extra for a club room so I could use the gym facilities which was well stocked and clean. I had a decent meal the night before (nourish bowl), although the bar was slightly noisy it was still laid back and service was good. Breakfast was good quality with plenty on offer, I had a small cooked breakfast and a yoghurt with fruit. The room was clean, tidy with a good shower and a good quality bed. Despite my room being directly located off the staircore I had a good nights sleep with no noise projecting from above/below or via the corridor. The bed was comfortable with a medium mattress and pillows. Overall a very good stay especially for the money and all topped off with a Starbucks to go in the morning."

"Fantastic hotel"

"Lovely, historic pub walking distance from the Chatham Dockyards. Nice rooms, nice staff, great setting. Breakfast was excellent each day. Dinner was even better. Chatham Dockyards are definitely worth a visit and the pub is just a short walk away. Also, Rochester Cathedral and Rochester Castle are a short drive away and touring them made for a lovely day. The area around the pub is very walkable and there is an outlet mall just across the road. "

"I was working locally so stayed in this hotel. It was really clean and the staff was lovely. I had a room looking out to the lakes so great views. I ate at the hotel one of the nights and the food was OK. "

"Its an old hotel, but the property is safe and the staff is really attentive. The price was good and I was surprised by the quality of it genuinely. I had a good time here!"

"Excellent location close to Strood railway station and 15 minute walk to Rochester Castle and High Street. The reception staff are super friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again when in the area. Great value for money. "
