As others stated, it definitely has some areas that need improvement. The sliding glass door was extremely difficult to open and close, things were broken/very used, the tub hardly drained, and it wasn’t the cleanest property and house. The location was right on the beach with amazing views and the hot tub was amazing!! As others also stated there is minimal privacy as there is beach access right by the house. Overall everything was good, but for the price we paid we wished it was great!

This house is a nice home . I feel it needs some maintenance . Light on the back of the home is falling off. One has been removed. Lots of paint scuffs on trim.. This home is right on the beach but is in no way private as there is the beach access along the side of the home. We had people along the deck watching the ocean and at one point a person used the hot tub top as a bar top to ling on and drink his beer as I'm sitting at the table watching the waves. I guess I'm a little more private or if I want to hang out and drink with strangers I would go to the pub.. This house is big and will be perfect for family get together...

This house is in serious need of proper maintenance. All drains were slow, with one sink and one shower completely stopped up requiring our request for maintenance the first day. Two of three showers had mold. Wifi NOT available, contrary to listing. Dishwasher broken. Oven on last legs. My request for a partial refund have not been responded to. This house is not ready for renting. Only saving grace is the beautiful Oregon coast, for which the home owner and Vacasa can take no credit.

Wonderful spot! Looks just like the ad. If you like to cook the kitchen is amazing and they have lots of cookware! Our sweet dog loved everything about it ( I think she wanted to stay)!

The default text in this box reads "tell us what you loved". To be blunt, not a lot. This listing felt a little misleading. The trip started off with me receiving a voicemail from Vacasa while I'm driving to the coast on the day of check in and informed me that the sliding door to the back deck was broken and we couldn't use it. We were instead instructed to go out the front door and walk around the house to get to the back deck. I spent a large sum of money per night to have a large deck on the beach, not to walk a treacherous, dark rocky path around the house if I wanted to use the grill, back patio or hot-tub. The porch on the ocean was my number one reason for booking this home and this was such a let-down, not to mention embarrassing for the friends we invited to stay with us. The path around the house was not well maintained and not easy to traverse especially in the darker hours of the day (it's March in Oregon). Moving onto the rest of the house, it was very run-down. The bedding was fine but the kitchen, fixtures, television, and other amenities were severely our of date or just broken (ice maker, garbage disposal). The outside of the house felt damaged as well since I had to walk around it every time I wanted to visit the back porch, I noticed a massive section below the deck pushed back into the foundation. Also, under the rug in front of the broken slider door the tile was cracked and if you stepped onto the rug to admire the ocean views your foot would sink in a couple inches. After pulled back the rug to investigate it was clear there was serious damage. This home is in need of repairs and updating, at the least to make it livable. The premium price for location should not come at the cost of the condition of the dwelling itself. Lastly, we were excited to use the hot-tub- granted it's not fun to run around the house to get there in the chilly air but we wanted to enjoy it. The buttons on the tub didn't all work, and the water level was very low meaning the jets were spraying above the water which seemed odd. When we got the lights working we took one look at the water and immediately got out of the hot-tub and showered, the water was disgusting. This was supposed to be a luxurious villa at the beach and I feel like we were Tom Hanks in the Money Pit. I want my money back.

The home is described as a luxury beach villa. It is on the beach but next to public beach access so do not expect privacy. The photos are great but once there there the details you expect for the cost (over 2k for 3 nights) were ignored. Low quality bedding and linens. Cobwebs. Broken ice maker, dirty blinds that didn't work, no internet, mildew all over the deck, dirty hot tub, bugs in the jetted tub upstairs, black mold in the washers ancient televisions, chandeliers with missing prisms in ill repair, dirty walls, broken alarm system and pet hair all over the master bedroom. I tried calling and could not get through, I emailed and tried contacting someone through the app all with no response. THEN when I left private feedback that was this review almost verbatim I got a text message saying that my feedback was reviewed and they would like me to leave a review. I am livid. This was supposed to be a special trip to a luxury villa but was no better than an average beach motel. I want an apology and my money back!

I rented this home with a friend for a girls getaway weekend and t did not disappoint! The home had everything we needed and more. It was very clean and well organized. It’s roomy yet feels cozy, too- not to mention luxurious. The house was easy to warm up with the fireplace or furnace when we got cold and easy to cool off with an ocean breeze when we needed it, too. There were plenty of towels-bath and beach. The amenities provided were great, it was so nice to get some laundry done before checking out. Despite the unit being pretty close to two beach accesses, the blinds on the windows provided all the privacy we needed while maintaining our beautiful view. The neighborhood is super quiet, I think we were The only ones on the block! There were also stores and restaurants within about a half mile. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again in a heartbeat!

8/10

The Villa is a beautiful spacious home. Given the opportunity we would stay there again. One minor drawback is that there is a local pedestrian beach access adjoining the property. People walking by limits privacy in the hot tub, on the outside deck and in the dining area. In general most folks passing by seemed to be friendly so we tried not to let it ruin our experience. The home could definitely use a deep cleaning inside and out. Surfaces such as walls, backsplashes, cabinets, light switches, shelving, stair railing, baseboards, floors, television remotes, blinds and deck railing seemed to be getting passed over by housekeeping staff. The Villa has some really neat custom lighting features but some were not in working order...bulbs need replaced. A few of the blinds weren’t functioning properly needing repairs or replaced. Amenities such as garbage bags, toilet paper, paper towels, laundry and dishwasher detergent could be more plentifully stocked. For as many people as this place sleeps a second or larger refrigerator would be useful. We were all so appreciative that the home was not inundated with synthetic fragrances such as air fresheners and detergents and cleaning products like some of the other vacation rentals we have stayed in. It is a nice feature to have the dual washer & dryers but on our visit only one dryer was working . We had the 3 bedroom option and had instructions to lock 3 additional bedrooms that we were not using in order to not be charged for them but no one responded to my email stating that the one bunk room could not be locked as it did not latch. Our family really enjoyed the foosball table as a fun feature. It was like a dream come true being able to just step out the back door right onto the patio and into the hot tub, or walk right onto the beach. Waking up to the sound of the surf is amazing. The view is incredible. Let’s not forget the grand entrance in the front of the house which took our breath away when we first arrived. Aside from a few maintenance and upkeep issues, it really is a dream house and we highly recommend the stay here. We hope management and/or owners will find our constructive criticism helpful for improving future guests experiences.

This house was SO close to the beach and was the perfect relaxation spot for our family! So much fun! There were a few minor things that were an issue but not anything major and I'm sure will be corrected by the management team . The house has all of the amenities you need and will provide many wonderful memories of your time in Rockaway! While there are no real stairs to reach the beach from the house there is a slope with a few stepping stones you can walk down or right next to the property there is a public access entrance (no stairs but a wide gradual slope) to the beach that is used by others staying at vacation homes. There is no public parking in the area so there really isn't a lot of people who use it. The beach access wasn't an issue for us but I saw others who have commented on it and wanted to provide some clarification.

This house will WOW anyone. all my friends could say is....I thought you got us a house not a mansion. So pleased with the location. I grew up with family just a walk on the beach from this house. It felt so comfortable. The kitchen space is a dream to cook in. Enough room to house the brady bunch. So great for large groups or multiple families. Went fishing just up the road. So much fun. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

The place is every bit as big as the photos show. We just assumed that there was some kind of photographic trickery going on, and hoped for the best. But it's true: the place is huge. As my wife said when we first arrived: "We'd need a whole soccer team to fill this place!" More than enough space for the 4 humans and 1 golden retriever who stayed there! The foosball table was a huge hit. The kitchen had all the necessary utilities (note that there IS a coffee-maker, though it wasn't listed in the email I got before check-in). The hottub was beloved by all. The lighting was great. The table was huge, and made for a great place to play some large boardgames. The wifi held up, even when streaming Netflix via my Chromecast plugged into the flat-screen (though the wifi does get a little weak in some of the rooms). The beds were comfortable and the house was always a pleasant temperature. There are plenty of pots and pans, but they're definitely showing some wear and tear. They'll do the trick, but it feels almost dishonorable to use those old things on such a nice big gas stove. I wish that I had brought my cast iron pan. The biggest drawback of the place is that the path to the beach from the back steps is suffering from erosion and is therefore fairly treacherous. It's no problem at all for healthy young adults, but elderly or infirm renters may need to find another way down, and parents with young children may want to keep a close eye on their kids while they're out there. My old golden retriever took a little tumble and was unable to get back up the path to the house. We had to find a different way to and from the beach when we brought him along. But other than the eroded path, this is a fantastic place to stay, and almost unbelievably inexpensive for what you get. Gather some friends together and go! Fill the place up and have a great time. You definitely won't regret it.
