With the wide Pacific Ocean to the west and the shores of Lake Lytle to the east, this beautifully positioned Rockaway Beach home will show you the very best of the Oregon Coast. This dog-friendly property sits just across the street from the beach, offering views of the coastline from the front of the house, views of the lake from out back, and at-home comforts that include a private two-person hot tub, a hammock, and a gas grill to welcome you home from your daily adventures. You'll be five miles north of Garibaldi, where you can pick up some fresh seafood at the Garibaldi Marina, and 13 miles north of the famous Tillamook Creamery.

The house is bigger than expected. Pretty nice and cozy, has everything needed for a decent vacation. Could use a bit more thorough cleaning but overall it wasn’t so bad. A good option of games and puzzles for kids to play with. Camping chairs are a huge plus. And our kids loved an actual wood fireplace.

Our favorite Rockaway Stay

We stayed here 4 years ago, and again this trip. We have stayed many places in the area over the past 9years, this is our very favorite. We love the personal investment/care and notes from the owner. The home is the perfect beach house vibe. The views of the beach AND the lake are just the best combo. Plenty of space for us 2 adults and 2 teens. We love that it’s so dog friendly and safe for the dogs…that’s hard to find~thank you!! Bed is very comfortable!

Great area

View of the lake on the back deck was beautiful. Watchingwaves from the Adirondack chairs on the huge deck, listening to the surf. The house was well stocked and beds comfy. . Thanks for everything.

Short walk to the beach

Overall this was a nice property and worked well for our family of four. It was a short drive to town and the beach is right around the corner. The neighborhood was relatively quiet and the views are wonderful. Adding some board games/cards for teens or things to do in the evening and nicer cookware would be a plus. Also being able to access the garage from the outdoors also would help reduce the sand/dirt brought in upstairs after a trip to the beach.

Hot tub

Everything was great, except the hot tub. It's disingenuous to include "hot tub" as a listed amenity when it includes no instructions, faded labels on the buttons, and ultimately, doesn't work. By the time we actually got it turned on, it would go only up 1 degree in temperature every hour. We had to check out before it even became usable.

Best Vacation Ever

We visited Rockaway for the first time and are already planning to return at least once a year. This home is absolutely charming—with a delightful “rumpus room” that our kids adored. It was filled with beach toys and a variety of fun activities generously provided for guests. The wraparound porch made it so easy to enjoy both lake and ocean views—an ideal layout for soaking up the surroundings. We also loved the hot tub, which offered a relaxing spot on the ocean-facing side. Beach access was just a short walk from the house, which made outings with our three young children (all under 6) surprisingly easy. We made it to the sand with chairs and toys in tow—no complaints or “Are we there yet?” moments at all. This is truly the perfect cozy beach getaway, and we can’t wait to come back.

Great house, great stay

The house was incredibly comfortable and clean. Was exactly what was shown in the listing. We really enjoyed our stay and all of the little extra touches that the hosts provided. I especially loved sitting on the front deck in the mornings with a cup of coffee watching the waves. Lovely home.

Awesome beach house

This is an awesome little house! Beautiful inside and out, with a sweet little 2 person hot tub. Master bed is really comfy. Lots of stuff for kids and families to do, easy trail access to beach, and a killer ocean view from the living room!

Wonderful home to spend a quiet weekend in.

The property was great and the views were very nice, particularly around sun rise and set. We arrived much later than we expected, and it was dark outside. Our biggest, and only real, complaint about the property is that there are a lot of light switches, many of which we could not figure out what they controlled, and turning lights on inside the home, especially inside the main bedroom, was a challenge. The home was very clean and ready to go early! We would absolutely stay here again.

It was the best money I've ever spent. It was an amazing home with great views. I loved all the restaurants in the area; there was not a bad meal in sight. I recommend checking in during the day. as the lighting in the area is a little hard to see at night

Excellent house in Rockaway Beach

The house has amazing views of the beach and lake. Enjoyed walking on the beach and to the lake. The restaurants and shops were so close to walk or drive. We loved eating breakfast at Grumpy's Cafe. We also loved that we were not far from Tillamook and Cannon Beach. Definitely a prefect house to stay at.

Wonderful Relaxing Getaway Home!

Brought my family from NYC to the Oregon coast and glad we found this gem on Vacasa. The keyless entry and timely reminders via text made things really easy and stress free. The house is more beautiful in person than online. The pictures don’t do it justice! The front deck have a great view (slightly obstructed) of the ocean waves and you can hear it from the room with the queen bed. The hot tub is on the front deck and we had an unobstructed view of the sunset! The back deck has a lovely lay-down hammock and a woven sit down hammock chair where my son and I sat to watch the train go by and take in the beautiful lake views. All the facilities listed work and we loved Vacasa for being so thorough in the cleaning prior to check in. We will definitely return and use Vacasa again ❤️ Thank you owners for sharing this little beauty with us!

4 Gals Beach Vacay

Hot tub was so nice to have. Close to beach with a view between roof lines across street. Lake view behind home is nice. Was disappointed about riptide at this beach so was not in ocean nearly as much as I'd hoped😏 Home overall was comfortable and kitchen stocked pretty well. Lots of towels available. Deck space was really spacious with good deck chairs and hot tub in front. Back deck even larger with table and benches, hammock, hanging chair and BBQ. Quiet neighborhood at night and far enough from town to avoid a lot of noise from autos and people. Overall a good place to stay.

Great Family feeling.

The house was a pure family setting. It's very inviting and warm just like you were at home. The kitchen is fully stocked with all needed appliances and accessories. Myself and family will for sure look to rent this location again.
