Welcome to Beachside Bungalow in Rockaway Beach! This rustic charmer is steps from the beach and offers two bedrooms and one bath, perfect for a family or group of 5. If you can tear yourself away from the spectacular ocean views out the front windows, curl up on the comfy couch to stream a movie or watch a DVD and warm up on chilly nights in front of the pellet stove. The roomy kitchen has everything you need to cook a family meal. There is a bunkroom off the main living area with a twin/full size bunk bed. The primary bedroom has a comfy queen size bed and a laundry nook with full size washer and dryer. The spacious bathroom is centrally located and offers a tub/shower combination. Step onto the oceanfront deck and breathe in the salt air while experiencing an unforgettable Oregon Coast sunset. Take your morning coffee for a short stroll to the dunes where you'll find a bench overlooking the beach. While staying in Rockaway Beach, you'll have plenty to see and do. Explore restaurants and shops along Highway 101. Traverse miles of sandy beach where you can fish, swim, or surf. Travel south into Tillamook and explore the famous Tillamook Cheese Factory. This house is a great place to stay with a wonderful view of the ocean, which is very close. The place features a nice ocean-facing deck, and there is good access to the sandy beach. The property had very comfortable furniture, including great beds with comforters and quilts. The house is very clean. The area is quiet. We had a great stay.

The cottage was very clean. Great view of the ocean. Direct access to the beach. Front deck was nice, but the weather wasn't cooperative to use it. Decor was outdated. Instructions are outdated (no thermostat to set at 55*, pellet stove instructions were unclear, tv instructions were for an old setup), and the bed tilts downward with the uneven floor. Front door blind was broken.

Beach access was awesome! Views were amazing. House is old and run down and the beds were a little hard to sleep in. The outlets all need to be replaced. It was hard to find one outlet that would work. I would stay here again but not for the price we paid.

Excellent location! Right on the ocean!Building was old and funky. The mattress needs to be replaced….if they swap that out for a new king mattress-we’d go back and recommend to friends and family.

Perfect location

Property is just as described/depicted. This is a cozy bungalow on the beach with amazing beach views to the front and mountains to the back. It is fully furnished and has a well stocked kitchen. There are ample bath towels that are thick and extra long. The enclosed front room gives sweeping views of the shore even during colder times. Large front porch with 4 chairs and a table for porch coffee and evening meals outside. Overall excellent experience! Please note, this is a basic needs property so if you want highend or modern this is not the place for you. Bunk bed is better suited for those under 15. Also, there is no grocery store so buy before you get to town or go to the Dollar General down the street for best grocery/beer prices.

We loved the entire experience. The cottage is right on the beach, with a spacious deck, large living room windows, and comfy chairs. It was the restful and restorative vacation we needed. We will definitely be back!

Great property,location to the beach

Overall great property. Few little things, Blunt sitting on the back deck. Could use some actual patio furniture to sit in, the red chair was broken so couldn't even sit on the porch with my wife. Locks are very sticky

Beautiful view, great location

We were very pleased with the view and location, however our rest and relax and catch up on study plan was sidelined because of the horrible old carpet cleaner smell and the comfort of the home. We ended up leaving all day saturday because we couldnt handle the smell inside the house and the furnture was awful. And just to top it off the dish was out all weekend and would not reboot even whwn we followed the system prompts. What a eyesore of wiring and boxes fir the tv wifi system. The wifi did work, thank goodness. I'm still recovering from the aches and pains from the uncomfortable bed. This home has so much potential but it really need deep cleaned, and a serious remodel and furnishings upgrade. We did enjoy the 62 year old National geographic magazine, and we love the location and outside appearance, but not enough to stay again without a major upgrade. (This was our wedding anniversary weekend.)

Needs updating

I wish the owner would invest in new furniture and bedding. The house could just be so much more comfortable. It was not well appointed and felt like, however clean, it wasn't well cared for. We left two nights early.

Rustic Cottage on the Beach

The cottage is right on the beach with a wonderful view. It's tucked in at the end between two roads so we had to drive down to find the house but parking is ample and easy. The house was very clean except the master bedroom carpet that is way past it's useful life and had obvious large stains and a very funky smell. Maybe previous pets? The kitchen was well stocked with dishware and full size appliances. Plenty of towel and supplies in both the kitchen and bath. We had a wonderful 3 days, exploring the areas. Great location.

Relaxing beach getaway

The house was as advertised. It was rustic, but comfortable. It had everything we needed. The kitchen and appliances were adequate. There was no dishwasher, but I have no problem with that. The view was incredible and it was a nice quiet little street where we could really relax and unwind. The only warning I would give someone is that when you take the path down to the beach, there’s one point where there’s about a 24 inch plus drop. I could get down it but we had to put a piece of wood in there for me to step up on in order to climb back up onto the path. This might be challenging for some.
