Lakefront Family Friendly Home with Large Sandy Beach and Beautiful Views


  • The lake front home is on Silver Lake, which is one of the premier lakes in West Michigan, only 15 miles from downtown Grand Rapids and 5 miles from downtown Rockford. The home has about 2000 sq. feet with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, plus a large 4 season porch surrounded by windows. The home is in a quiet and safe neighborhood on a large flat lot with 80 feet of sandy beach with a Solo fire pit for gathering with your family and friends. The property also includes a 300-foot-deep back lot with a large driveway with a pickle ball net and a garage.

    Silver Lake is an all sports lake with about 225 acres that is in the top 5% of lakes in Michigan in water clarity. The home is in a protected area from westerly winds and faces southeast so you will enjoy waking up to beautiful sunrises and sunsets that can be seen from the water.

    A large dock is included with a platform on the end. A 4-person paddle boat, 2 kayaks, and 2 stand up paddle boards are provided for your enjoyment. The property also has pickle ball, corn toss, croquet, horseshoes, volleyball, bikes, water/sand toys, life jackets, etc. are provided.

    A newer 20-foot pontoon boat with a 60 hp engine is available for rent during your stay. Please inquire about pricing.

    Almost anything you would need for your stay is included, except for food and beverages.

    There are numerous recreational activities in the area with many parks and bike trails close by. 8 new outdoor pickle ball courts have been installed at the Cannon Township property 1 mile away. A variety of wonderful shops and restaurants are located within 5 miles of the cottage. In the winter Cannonsburg Ski Resort is 2 miles to the south of the home.

    I also have another 3 bedrooms, 2 bath rental on the lake about 12 houses away if the dates are not available. The VRBO # is 1351695

Great stay on the Lake.

Nice house lakeside to celebrate graduation from Calvin University. We enjoyed paddle boarding, kayaking and the peddle boat. Enough equipment for all of us to be out on the lake at the same time. Brian was easy to talk with and had everything labeled nicely. Would stay again.

We had the best family vacation here! The house is fully loaded with everything you could need for a large family. Cleaning supplies, beds, stocked kitchen, outdoor space, and amazing views. I could not recommend this place enough. We’ve already booked another week next year.

Lovely lakeside property!

House was awesome and was very easy to accommodate 9 people! Anything you could need at your home away from home for the week was there. The lake/beach was awesome and having access to the numerous water toys was a great time! Definitely will be visiting again in the future forsure.

Our daughter got married in Grand Rapids

Our daughter got married in Grand Rapids and she and her bridesmaids were all able to stay with us at the house. It was a great setting for her and bridesmaids to get ready in the morning of her wedding. Beautiful spot on the lake.

Bachelorette on the Water

We chose to stay here for a weekend to be able to visit Art Prize is Grand Rapids. The location was perfect. The lake was beautiful and the home exceptional. The home was clean and organized. Wedding Weekend

Communication was fantastic. We got two of his Lakehouses for my family to stay for our wedding. It was a great place for everyone to spend time together and relax before and after the wedding. The houses are clean, and the view is beautiful. I really loved that everything was labeled, so it was easy to find anything we needed. I would highly recommend this place and any of his other properties to anyone.

Bachelors Trip

The property was very well kept. The host was kind and very responsive. All the sleeping arrangements were nice and comfortable. We rented the boat for our stay and it was super nice worked perfectly! The house was close enough to Grand Rapids but just far enough away to make it perfect. The atmosphere around the lake community was a super relaxed, quiet. The home was the perfect getaway lakehouse on beautiful Silver Lake that we will definitly return to if we have the opportunity in the future!

Fantastic spot for a large group

Very happy and satisfied with the property, amenities, communication with the owner, and the location. Very clean and well stocked supplies, plenty of space for my 7 person group, beds and sleeping areas aplenty. We mostly stayed inside for our duration (by choice) and the group definitely did not feel claustrophobic or needed to get out. 5 min drive to a grocery store, several location well-known establishments, and just a short drive to GR or Rockford proper. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a great location and a great property any time of the year.

Wonderful cozy getaway. Right on beautiful lake. Has all the comforts of home needed. 4 season room. Extra portable heaters or cooling devices if desired. Blankets. Games. Great trip

Nice place. Has everything you need. REALLY appreciated how easy it was to find everything, labels are everywhere and it made life soooo much easier. Close to food options if you don’t want to cook. Nice beach area, we also rented the boat which I would recommend. Shallow water, great for kids. Owner was easy to work with and very nice. Pillows were SUPER soft and comfortable. Really nothing negative to say except we had some rainy weather which is no one’s fault but Mother Nature!

Fam Vacay

Absolutely loved the property. Yard was level, functional and access to the water was close. Loved having all the water toys & crafts. The beach was an added bonus! The home itself was nice, wish it would have had 3 Bedrooms with doors. Only 2 of the "rooms" had a door for privacy.
