"This was our first time staying in Sacramento. Been to it and thru it a million times but have never stayed!! This cottage/home/neighbirhood. Felt like home. ABSOLUTELY gorgeous neighborhood! Immaculately clean and super well equipped! We might come back just for fun next time. We were in town for a volleyball tournament and didn’t get to relax or enjoy the serenity of this property! "Five stars is not enough to rate how kind and generous our hosts were to us. The cottage was equipped with everything we needed and it was clean throughout. Communication was excellent, describing every detail on how to operate lights, locks, hot tub, and thermostat. We enjoyed great views and walks. Fresh eggs were wonderful. "Heron Cottage was the best VRBO experience we have had to date. The house was immaculate as and up to date. We usually feel like we have to clean the dishes before we use them in most rentals, but Heron Cottage was so well maintained that we didn’t think twice about using the right of the shelf. "Overall a very good deal for the money. The house had every amenity for a comfortable stay including a large covered patio which was really handy because it rained several days during my stay. The fence surrounding the backyard appears to be held up by posts attached to the tree. It creaks and moves when windy. Also, the immediate neighborhood surrounding the house isn’t great but the convenience to other things to do is nice."
